Ahhhh, all these cool songs made me feel better this morning. I have been up since 3 am wth my 11 year old - she got the stomach virus that the baby had this weekend. So tired. Hopefully the eldest is ok - she was feeling rather dicey last night. Luckily (or not) I have my laptop so I can work from home. Surely going to get an attitude from the boss - I am not around to do all his work like usual, but he can always email me...lol! Why can't I just be independently wealthy and not have to deal with that crap? lol

I'll check back in a while. Hope everyone is well!

morning all... i had a rude awakening today.... quill pup had disapeared... again. i think she is a lab/houdini cross.. a bloody great escape artist indeed.i thought the garden was puppy proof but obviously not. some lovely people had found her wandering around and were taking her to the vets.. think todays job for me is re assess the garden for escape routes. im just over a week sober and had serious drinking thoughts yesterday... but no no no.... i didnt. ive got some lovely sugar free cranberry/blueberry juice drink so i holed up in bed and slonked wi me drink and nibbles
Today is the tomorrow i worried about yesterday and it turned out fine

Quick five min lunch while I scoff a sambo.
Got a question for you guys to ponder and maybe offer some advice. As you may know I am living and working in a strange city now, in the city center, well on my daily walk to and from it I pass directly past the front doors 13 pubs and thats not counting probably as many in sight as well on the side roads. Now I come back for lunch so I reckon that makes a minimum having to pass 52 pub doors on my daily trek. Not to mention if I actually have to go further afield to the shops like tonight. Any wonder I am finding it tough to keep my head straight. Anyone got any ideas apart from wearing a set of blinkers? All suggestions gratefully accepted. Didnt count anywhere near as many cake shops btw......oh and I do know its not normal to be counting pubs.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

KTAB I'm a lover as you know of using our minds to change our thinking and my 1st reaction to your dilemma would be to make a game out of it, basically these pubs are probably full of very unhappy people in denial about how to be truly happy all throwing mind altering poison down their throats. As you walk passed take a deep breath and let out a sign of relief you escaped the clutches of the AL monster, send thoughts of compassion to the sufferers inside and quicken your pace just incase the AL monster sees you and tries to drag you in.... Give your self points for ever positive thought you have as you pass as to why you are grateful to be free, 52 points a day would be a bloody good score to aim for. Think of a treat you will reward yourself with if you get a certain score by the end of the week.....

Holy Hell - what city has that many pubs??? Good godfathers - you'd better start taking the bus. Either that or carry cake.
