Yes the are and super easy to make. Roll out sugar cookie or any other basic dough, use cookie cutters to cut out the shapes and you can buy icing in tubes that the kids can decorate the cookies with. Add some coloured sprinkles and smarties and Bob's yer uncle...

Betty, hope you and Kerry have the bestest of times on your vacation. Are you going to Florida?

Starty, Christmas will be different but I know you will keep your thoughts on the positive things. :huggy

Good morning everyone! I think I need the full pot to kick start me today. We had heavy rain last night and it kept me asleep all night, wonderful!

Good morning Gia. Jackie's gone shopping so it's up to me to get the coffee going. Here's your first cup and the pot's waiting when you've finished that...

Heavy rain keeps you asleep? It poured so hard here yesterday that if I had been asleep it surely would have woken me up. Big bolts of lightning and thunder added to the downpour...

          Thank you lovely woman!
I love sleeping to the rain, I love the sound it makes on the roof and against the window. It was really nice and relaxing and I was wrapped in flannel sheets and a down duvet cover...life is good. lol

Oh, they look so pretty. I still miss playing Santa. When my kids were young, I looked forward so much to Christmas morning when they would go running into the living room to see what Santa had left. Then of course we'd sit on the floor and play with the toys. I enjoyed them almost as much as the kids did. Lego was my favourite. I bought them a box every Christmas and birthday. We still have a big box full of pieces in the storeroom. I loved filling their Christmas stocking with goodies as well. That I kept doing as long as they were living at home - until their early twenties. Last Christmas we all got on our silly hats and took this picture. I know I've posted it before but here it is again. The dog is trying to figure out what we've got on our heads...:H:H

I can't even fathom how I could get up this early if I was drinking the night before.
I'm planning to be done completely the first of Decemeber, then to wrap and hide the gifts. If I put them under the tree she will just sneak into them and be shaking them all the time. I'm not putting myself through that torture. I need to go to Costco and buy two mammoth size rolls of wrapping paper which will keep me for the next two years. Did the kids put in a long list this year?

                              Doesn't she though, Oney?
We're getting an addition on our house this year, I'm not spending a whole lot of money on Christmas presents this year, she will get a new room instead and a new play room, a new bathroom and I'll get a new room..money well spent. But, she has gotten some nice things from me which she wanted tucked at my mothers right now.

Thanks Oney.:h Older son on the right does look a lot like me. Younger son not so much I think although we have the same colour eyes and he's got freckles like his Mom.. Besides good looking, they're also smart and most important of all, they're good people. Can you tell I'm a very proud Mom? You know, you can do your best to raise your kids in what you think is the right way, but you never know if you really did a good job until your kids are grown a bit. I'd say til after they get through those hard teen years where things can go one way or another depending on what kind of peeps they hang out with. I'm proud to say that my guys have turned out pretty damn well.

Gotta go get some work done. Will check back in later...
