Last thing to say on it. A few years ago we had a disgraced politician on the take who had to resign from government and the party. Next election he stood as an independent and TOPPED the poll. I assume because of what he did for his local pals while in power. That will tell you all we need to know about Irish politics. No integrity or honour, just self serving interests and cronyism.

No crystal ball but I reckon EBC/IMF/EU will step in, put funds in place and instigate major savings across the board. Job cuts in public service jobs the first stop I would say. Will probably hit all services and maybe raise taxes but thats dangerous because it stifles competition. A few bleak years ahead whatever happens.

KTAB that is an outrageous amount of money for one tooth.

Stirly has a solution to yer toof problems. Fly to Greece and go to Stirly's dentist. 60 euro for a filling, 130 euro for a root canal with one root, 150 for two-root tooth, 180 for a tooth with three roots. And he's gentle and careful as anything, you don't even feel the needle when he puts the freezing in plus he's just the sweetest guy - about 35 years old. Oh, and Oney, he's kinda hairy so even tho' you can't see it, I expect he's got a hairy chest...

Don't get me started on the economic situation here. The building industry came to a halt well over a year ago and that has caused a chain reaction for anything related to it. The country is filled with economic and political refugees, a lot of whom beg for money and then send the greater part of what they get back to their home land to help their families there. They estimate millions of euro leave this country every day because of that. I was at the supermarket a few days ago and a man who had been begging came in with his coins to have them replaced by bills. He had a total of 50 euro. I asked the girl at the cashier if she made that much in one day and she said no, but she had considered giving up her job and begging as well. She told me one man who begged outside the same supermarket one Saturday brought his coins in and he had made a total of 85 euro. That's a lot of money for just sitting on the ground and holding out a cap.

I think that about says it for most politicians. We have had some huge money scandals here over the last while. Not so much with the government that's in power now as much as the former governing party. Incredible amounts of money got into politicians pockets and they know who these people are but nothing's being done because everybody is covering each other's backside.

Oney you dont need telling that there is no point in worring about things that may happen in the future, especially ones we have no control over. Sure I could get run over by a bus this morning but I aint going to worry about it
