          Hello all from a very wind torn and wet canaryite..!!
          storm hit during the night as we knew it would..but WOW.. humdinger..
          El Hierro really got kicked for six..and La Palma has had huge damage!!
          where we are in southe Tenerife we got the worst hit this morning and then again this afternoon..
          I had to go to work so Bonnie came to stay with Ollie..as soon as I got to my meeting the hurricane hit..SHIT... I tried to call them at home but all mobile & landline were down..!no way to get back home to them..immpossible..!!just had to be calm that Bonnie wouldn't panic & would be OK..
          when I eventually got hold off her she was really scared, as expected no electric and everything had been swept off the roof apartment on top of me..all the furniture, flying past their noses..crashed down to the street..!!!balcony railings, yes the metal railings crashing down..it was all getting ripped off the roof..!!
          I live in front of the sea so it get the full hit of it..!
          but we are ok and things have calmed down now..PHEW...! just gotta see what the night brings..!!

              oh yep..it was one of the worst I've seen here..the sky still looks angry.. I'll post a couple of pics in a mom from when we took the dogs out when it stoped for a bit..
              not kidding you tho it was bad one..!!
              and what chilled me most was I was seperated from my children and had no way to get to them.. fucking awful feeling ..and no contact as ALL phones didn't work..not even landlines, it wasn't a case of the pod the phone stands in didn't work coz, we had an old fashioned one..the lines were completly down..!! never felt such a pang from not being able to get to my babes like that ever..was a real shit feeling.. you being a mum just imagine not knowing if your babes are ok or not..!! and you can't get to them..!!

                  it was funny tho when I did get home..
                  she's gonna be 20 in January, but she was frightened as well, so the pair of them had raided the cupboards for chocolate and stuff...!!
                  they had been playing with the dogs jumping thru the house as the clothes I'd folded nicely was all over the place.. biscuit papers sitting next to ollie's pc in his room..there was a trail of wrappers and bits everywhere..
                  but you know it didn't matter.. made soo happy that she was relaxed again at home and being like a big kid..:H
                  just wish I'd had a webcam to have filmed it all...!

                    Well whats up guys? We finally got the snow... I am sitting here with a big thick goose feather coat on and a beanie waiting for the house to warm up! Took me an hour to drive home 4km tonight but I loved it, mad I know, but I actually loved driving at 20km an hour while watching the moon light up the fields in its mad cold glare. Not much time tonight, gonna get me hot water bottle ready and hit the hay but thought I would check in and see how you all were doing.

                            No oney I noticed there was no snow at the station I went to only after 2km inland was there loads of show. Amazing how the salt in the air can cause it to sleet but that will change tonight... so I heard!
