I just found out that my ex of 10 years..broke up about 6 months ago is running around with a girl 26 years younger than him. Now this should not worry me...but why does it and why do I suddenly feel so bloody old!!!!!!! Can someone talk some sense into me a.s.a.p. This relationship was always a co-dependent difficult one...he didnt't want my kids, just me. Now he's run off with a really young chick and you guessed it..hasnt got kids and doesnt want any. Fusking fusking fusking fusking.

What do you think of this guys....a bit for a story for you.

Starts off a couple of months ago when I caught up with an aquintance who told me she had re-trained in NLP and had helped someone quit crack. I though it sounded pretty interesting but there was no way I was going to tell this lady about my problems.

Anyway, I've just been to the local shopping centre and noticed a new outlet in the food court and went to have a look. I got chatting to the new owner about the menu and their plans for the future when she suddenly blurted out "You've got a REALLY big problem in your life at the moment. I read auras and I'm getting this from you." (Son was there so neither of us said anything in detail.) She continued "you are screaming out for help and it's not coming."

"Mmmmm," thinks I. Anyway, she tells me she is a life coach and teaches yoga and mediation amongst other thing. (I've been looking into mediation as well but haven't been able to find something that suits.)

So, this lady gives me her website address. I've just looked and she, too, does NLP.

Now, is this just a co-incidence? Is she just trying to advertise her life coaching business or has "someone" led me to her? Does aura reading exist?

I'd really like to hear your opinions before I change my name to little miss Gullible.

CW what does your gut feeling tell you? Do you feel uneasy or mistrustful of this person? Was your first impression comfortable? You will find your answers by listening to your inner voice. Some folk can read signs by a persons body language, facial expressions, the way you walk, hold yourself and its not that difficult to pick some-one who is pre-occupied, stressed etc. Also announcing that you have a really big problem...she would have been right with a big percentage of people had she asked the same question. It could be guesswork. Having said that, I like to dabble in the esoteric arts and dont discount anything with a new age theme. But with anything there are lots of pretenders around. Use your own intuition.

At this stage, my inner feeling is that I won't lose anything by following this lead. I certainly feel there is something other than convention medicine / therapy available in this world.

I have been really tired this weekend as I have not used my CPAP machine for two nights. When I went shopping, I was wearing just normal clothes but had my hair scrapped back in a pretty unflattering way. (Who cares - I'm only going to Coles.) So, what with the tiredness and the hair, I probably did look pretty wrecked. And you're right - how many people don't have a big problem in their lives.

And the real cynic in me thinks "If she's that good, why does she also own an outlet in a food court in a mediocre suburban shopping centre?"

I'll sleep on this and e-mail her tomorrow. It will be interesting to see what she charges!

CW - yes, sleep on it and see what she charges seems a good idea. Personally, I'm uncomfortable with the aura reader's approach. As Saffy said, that broad statement could apply to ANYONE. Had to google NLP and am still not any wiser but note I can attend a Day workshop for only $49. ***Hmmm*** And whilst I strongly agree that there are therapies and treatments available outside the conventional mould, I'd tippy-toe lightly. That is just MHO.

Saffy - I'm not really sure which bit is upsetting you. The fact that he's hooked up with someone else who's a lot younger or the fact that he didn't want your boys or the indisputable fact that we're all getting older every day. I thought Reggie was spot on about the frailty of some men's ego. Oh bugger it, he's done it again. Fusk it.
