Different strokes for different folks......there are so many different counselling styles around..you just have to find one that works for you.

BTW rant over......Hello my lovley undies....Have had the most wonderfully inspiring; challenging and thought provoking day. I just love this new job!!!!!!!! I staggered in the door stuffed at 8pm and I am rearing do do it all again tomorrow. Off to shower and into bed...btw I told heaps of lies to Father Kelly in the confessional too......seems to be a theme emerging here (lying in the dark box, now find it hard to really say it how it is and expose "the naughty child"

Great post Saph. From what i hear and see around the trap's, Your experience of dopey, airy fairy, incompetent eedgit's in the game is spot on. I agree that there would have to be some good one's around, and most likely more senior folk. I work with a few folk's studying psychology/counselling whilst they do the job i do, and i could not go to someone in their 20's, or even 30's with any confidence. There just isn't the necessary life experience there that a good psych/counselor need's. A combination of yer text book stuff, and life experience can be a winner.

It goes without saying TF, that if i hear of anyone outstanding, i will let you know.

New's flash!

I've just been on the blower with Michelle. (you know, Barak's missus) She asked me to look after Lionel when he tour's here in march. Well of course i will, i said. Lionel's a good bloke, and as far as i'm concerned, still cuts the mustard, in his own inimitable way. Look at his AFL repeat Grand final performance in september here in Melbourne. Stunning, and full of that ol' pizzazz. Sure, a lot of folk weren't too happy being forced to endure it, but that's beside the point. Mich reckon's George Benson might be on guitar, but she's asked me to keep that hush hush. I do know that Jon bon jovi has been chasing George to join the band for year's. I'm looking forward to all the hit's.....'Hello', 'Easy on sunday morning'.

You'll have to excuse me. I still have a fever.
