Yep. Frogs have eyebrows and touching eyebrows makes frogs and all critters relax. Try it on yer dog.

Now enough with the throbbage... or I'll have a GACK! coming on.

Excellent, and not before time. If i've said this once, i've said it a thousand times. Regular exercise, especially where we get a sweat up, is absolutely essential in our recovery, and a real positive, and feelgreat plus. We have to 'shake it up' and participate in our healing.

have to say Mr G, i couldn't help noticing that you have pretty good biceps. I presume that this isn't just a result of plucking the E string. As I am trying to get ready for an under 1-hour time for the ocean swim, some tips on technique and workouts would be helpful. And yours Stapphy!

I vividly remember my first drink and my first smoke, although I cant remember how close together they were.

My first drink was at (one of!!) my brother's 21st. Before anyone thought that giving alcohol to under-age drinkers was not a good idea. By the end of the night I had pinched a bottle of bacardi , which I then took to a party the week after. It was how I got popular

If I knew what I know now, I would have recognised the signs. I see them in my nieces and nephews and I talk to them straight up. We have a history of alcoholism in our family and we are (finally!!) starting to talk about it. I have lost two siblings to it and I dont want any of the next generation to have to battle with it as much as I have.

I have a niece that recognised the signs early on, and took herself off to rehab and counselling. She stands up proud amongst our family and her work mates and talks about alcoholism and how hard it is to be one. I think being open about this stuff really helps to understand that this is not a moral failure, this is about good people trying their best and needing support. I wish I had her courage and I wish I'd sorted myself earlier!!
Excellent post Missy. Thank's for sharing. Inspiring. :l

Swimming is a great all round exercise as you well know Missy, so my tip would be to do more of it, as it is 'ocean swim' specific, meaning you are training and strengthening the muscles needed for a sub 1 hr. swim, non? Any cardio is alway's a plus too. Yer basic pushup's are a very good upper body strengthener/toner. If your lower back has an issue, you can put your knees down on ground, and push up with your arms from there. Free weight bicep curl's with barbell, and dumbell's will work your bicep's, as well as chinup's with palms facing in toward's you. More at www.itreallyisALLaboutme.com

Reggie, are you saying your friend is ugly? Depends in what way. If she has 'interesting' contour's and angles in her head, that can be beautiful...........or err....well, it's in the eye of the beholder.

                              Morning all.

My my my what lot of chatter boxes we are today!!! Cant be bothered addressing everyone by name...I'm in a very unsociable, bad mannered mood today!!! I know, I know, most unlike me, but ya get that. I'm actually tired. For the last five nights I have sat up with my beatiful puppy, nursing her and it has caught up with me. She continues to improve a little bit everyday. If things havent turned around big time by next week...she is off to the dogs hospital in Melbourne. I'll go with her on the Spirit of Tasmania and she will be operated on by Australias top neuro=surgeon for dogs. Anyway I'll be hanging around here on and off for most of the day so I'll catch yas
