      A grand day here. Sunny, quite warm. Visited family and friend's, quite the social butterfly. A big fillup was that my sister in law asked me to have a chat with my 15 yr old nephew sometime, as he's been sneaking out of the house at night, etc....(i still do that when no-one's looking) What a lovely request. I'm chuffed cause Ol wayward uncle G is having some serious family trust bestowed upon him. This is very noice for a drunken uncle who has been a bit of the aloof mystery man to the family over the last 20 yrs. Will speak to my brother about what's going on.

      I would take that as a HUGE complement Mate.
      I have never asked ANYONE to speak to the boy on my behalf, because, honestly.....I don't see anyone else as strong as me.

      Bit different now we are up here and he is in contact with some very masculine types. But as far as I'm concerned. I brought this kid into the world, and by Christ I'll get him through it.......and some days I might even take him out !!!!!!!!!!!!!

          Don't worry about me. I'm OK. Sometimes I just feel worried about being back here with you guys. I like being here but don't feel I have anything to add to the group as a whole.

          Anyway, my book definitely beckons. I love reading and hubby and son will be adding to my collection soon, so must finish this series.

          I'll catch up with you soon.

                      Morning Bridge - yep, after a really steamy day it started to bucket down again at around 3.30 yesterday. I'm within a bee's dick of having all tanks chockers.

                      Now MrG - I see Oprah's going to be at Fed Squre on Friday. Have you been on the blower? Has she got everything she needs?

                      I'm allocating half a day to domestic duties. GACK!

                        Morning All,

                        Feeling good this morning. I've had the best night's sleep EVER and can't believe I am up this early when I don't need to do the school run.

                        Tackling the play room / upstairs lounge today - YUK! We moved to this house in October and I have not done anything with it. If I'm not back by dinner time, send out a search party.

                            Morning Bridge, Tawny, and all punter's, mug and otherwise,

                            Gonna be around 30C today, with maybe a bit of rain later. I'm orf for a run, pump some iron, then swan over to some cafe for breakfast. After that, i'll be recording some drum's, and fine tuning a couple of tunes. Some lyric's would be noice too. More on my website. www.youfarkenidiot.com

                            Re Oprah's visit. Look, thank Christ i delegated 18 months ago when she first rang me with the idea. It's gonna be huge, so i thought best to call in the big gun's. John Michael-Howson and Di (Bubbles) Fisher are handling the P.R. and hospitality for our American guest's, with Kutcha Edwards graciously performing some music, and telling some stories later back at the hotel. Oprah herself is quite excited, and i've had to divert her call's, as she keep's ringing at all hour's giggling like a little kid. She did ask me though, to have a one on one to a 'Karen' in make-up, who apparently goes to town on the fizzy stuff when away from home. I'm hesitant, but also happy to do this, as i recall my touring day's and how it's too easy to get on the sauce first thing. I'll just take her through a couple of strategies, suggest she think's positive, and to just do her best. Oh, and i have a backstage pass plus 1. Anybody?
