Morning all and sundry

Well I had a good nights sleep last night. Saffy slept like a charm, so no up in the middle of the night for me. I'm off to get her the scans done today, so fingers crossed we will know what we are up against once and for all. She has made a lot of gains in her mobility in the last 48 hours. She can weight bear on her back legs for short periods of time, and doesnt seem to be in any discomfort at all. On the job front: I am down to the last two applicants for a job with Anglicare. It is part time live in [position at a residential lodge for homeless folk with drug and alcohol problems. There is a no substance policy at the lodge and my role would be to co-ordinate social services including counselling, financial assitance, housing appllications, recreational programs etc. As well as being a friendly non-judgmental ear/mentor for them. It is right up my alley, so fingers crossed. Well I'm off into the day, lots to do. check yas later.

sounds like everyone is up to their normal tricks. tawny i really hope you've stopped standing like a question mark & that you've obeyed bossy bridge & sought some medical treatment for you back. Rapigel does work wonders but when you start neighing & craving oats, you've had enough.

Hi all,

I had one of those wonderful days today where I was totally prepared for everything (thanks to my weekend work) including an out-of-left-field challenge to a major project that I didn't see coming. Anyway, I handled everything with aplomb (I dont know what aplomb is exactly, but I felt like I had it in spades :H:H) which I am very grateful for!!

The rest of the week will be cruisy, then a busy day next Monday, then a few days of "lets have a coffee before Xmas" ... and that will see me through the wind down to a couple of weeks off in the sun.

Tawny - I really hope your back is better. Without having any idea of diagnosis (!) when I put my back out seriously about 20 years ago (and that was just leaning over the bath to turn the hot tap on!!!!), an osteopath recommended short periods (20 mins) of gentle exercise (stretching, yoga, aqua jogging) several times a day. And ice!! And do you get Anti-Flamme in Australia?? I swear by it!! Anti-Flamme

Beagle, you must be so glad to be almost finishing harvesting!! And of course I love your Rosie-posie :H:H (did anyone else notice her wink?? :H)

Missy - sorry if I offended but as an exCatholic myself I found the site incredibly funny because they're not trying to be funny. It seems like a legitimate site and whilst the concept of inspirational sporting statues may be awe inspiring and well meaning, I find the execution of the finished product to be - erm - questionable at best and tacky at worst. They really ought to get their Marketing Department to talk to their Art Department.

itreallyisallabout.me.com - Following valuable medical and spiritual advice received today, I can confirm that I'm still annointing with the horse ointment, using hot wheat bags, doing some of Sapphy's recommended stretching exercises and not eating any more Panadol. I have progressed from walking like a question mark to reclining like an ampersand.
