MOrning undulaters, ovulators, over raters, discobulalaters, fafflaters etc. etc. Raining like nothin on earth here...and dont bother sayin that Tasmania is a wet joint anyway!!!! For the record, we DO get a summer and it gets bloody hot....its just not warm yet. Welcome Mama to the mayhem...,post away we love visitors and you dont have to be clever...just off your rocker:H Politically incorrect is good too. :HSaffy update: she is sitting up unaided; scooting all over the lounge-room on her bum and standing up for a few seconds at a time. The vet is taking a wait and see approach for another week before we dive in with surgery. She has lost about 3kgs but thats great as sh is a fat arsed staffy with a penchant for the finer foods in life (bit like her mum) and has been kept away from snackage and excesses. Good stuff about Saffy, Sapph.

I'm off to the big smoke in the morning for Chrissie bash with the fam. Mum brother, sis, their spice and assorted nieces and nephews. Will be good fun. I really like my mob. Best of all is they're really good fangs so the food will be brilliant. And I've booked into a wanky joint at the beach for two nights because that makes for a nice change from being in land-locked Central Vic. On Sunday, a stroll around the Esplanade and then lunch with six mates should satisfy my need to go to town every once in a while. Of course I'm not going to tell you where I'm staying or eating because I know one of you ratbags would have me paged. "Phone call for Tawnyfrog, Tawnyfrog. Phone call. Anybody by the name of tawnyfrog - Froggie from the Pisshead Forum?" Nah. I'll tell you after the event. Oh and no - Normie and I are now like Hugh and Liz. Just good friends.

So, bags are packed, nails polished regulation green, eyebrows plucked (both of them)

we've finished harvest!!! yayayayayayay! feckin FINALLY!well yes thank firk for that.
now saph, that's great news re saffy - don't forget to do the towel under abdo thingy.
tawny - have a lovely gourmetious time with family & friends.
bridgee - will be attempting to send you another vid of the slugs if you can pop it up (but it may not be until Tues when i go AWAY to our paradisical area for much needed r & r....oh yes, if that can happen with 10 dogs + 2 horses.

& yes i'll talk to myself for a bit again.
it's so peaceful here right now - very quiet, only birds, the breeze, the guinea fowl ( anyone need one for xmas lunch?!) NO PHONE,NO 2-WAY!!!....all the dogs are asleep.
funny, it really soothes my soulto wander round & look at all the dozing canines. i get a fair amount of qietitude from it. oh & the fact that hubby has gone up to Perth to watch the circket helps somewhat.
so looking forward to getting away with all my critters, to our place of peace & serenity. i will do some reading & walking & riding ( the latter 2 have been EVERY DAY mind you, feckin hell) & some quality time with the husband, whom is a decent fellow when he's not a prick farmer.
xmas preps getting in order - just have to put up with my mother for 4 days....judgemental hypocrite that she can be sometimes.
aaahhhh. will come up with something else to say shortly.

Afternoon Tawny, Techie and Beagle-bumsky,

Fabulous news all round it seems!!!!!!! Tawny is heading to the big smoke (both eyebrows duly plucked and brushed)........Beags is sounding spectacular and hap hap happy yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It warms me heart to hear all the good goss my wonderful friends.

Guess what???? Not sure whether I told yous that I was in for a job with ANGLICARE or not.......anyway I just got the phone call.....I GOT IT....Happy dance happy dance!!!!!!!!!!! I start on New Years Eve. The best bit is that I work three days a week and get paid for 6!!! Oh undies my luck has changed. i get to work with long term homeless folk, some recovering from mental illness/drug and alcohol issues etc. Its a live in position for the three days and I can take Saffy with me. That means that I will have a four day weekend...time to knuckle down with my Degree in Social Welfare thats been in the procrastination file for far too bloody long.
Beags I am doing the towel under the abdo thing with Saffy and she can now weight bear and her proprioception is getting better every day. We will give it another week and then decide about the surgery. My vet is amazed at her degree of recovery so far, mind you I am devoting a lot of time to massage and physio with her. Pictures of your sluglets are just beautiful.

Great News Sapphy. So happy for you. And wonderful news about Saffy's progress.
Beaglebum - glad you're finally finished with the harvest and will have some time alone with your critters and with Mr. Beaglebum.
And Tawny's off to spend time with her family and mates and have a mini-vacation by the sea.

Good Morning /Night Undies...
Saffy...I wanted to tell you our family daschund went paralyzed overnight a few year back and had spinal surgery. 4 years later she is as frisky as ever. Now she's just mean as hell!!
Great news on the job!!!
I myself, am proud to say, had a phone interview this morning, and I think I landed the job as well. I dont do anything as noble as you. I manage apartment communities and deal with unpaid rent, abandoned children, seniors who have rent paid by their kids but are otherwise ignored, roof leaks, fires, roaches, and owners that want more money. Overall, I guess it;s a general faffalanche!!
I usually call it a cluster F*@K, however!!
