Oh Sapphy, I just saw your news, and had a wee weep. I'm so sorry. Thinking of you and sending hugs.

My sister arrived for a surprise visit yesterday, having got a cut price airfare. Its great that she will get to see Mum for a couple of days pre-Xmas. However, it has wrecked my plans for a quiet wind-down before Xmas as she is one of those really high energy people that exhausts everyone around the and she talks all the time.

I'm really over 2010. My brain has checked out for the year. I haven't finished all I need to do at work, but I'm going to leave things undone and do them next year. I'm feeling thoroughly buggerooed.

Saph, I just found out this morning about Saffy. My heart is just aching for you. She had a wonderful life with you...no wee doggy could have found a more loving home and family.
I'm so proud of you for honouring her by not drinking. Saffy would be, too.

Good Afternoon All

Raining here again today, getting a bit fed up with all the rain now!!!!
Busy cleaning cupboards, and having a clean out before the new year.hopefully be a good start to 2011!!
Pretty much organized for xmas, all the family are going to our daughters for xmas on Sat.
will do a bit of cooking to take with us.

I guess the thing about one of us losing a beloved pet is - not only do we feel for the owner but we also think about our own critters that have left our lives. I've had two beautiful old dogs (a black lab x and a great dane) put to sleep and although I still miss them to this day, I felt ok about that decision. I was able to stop their pain and let them go. I felt worse about the other two, one, a 6 y-o terrier which was poisoned, the other, a whippet was run over at 10 months. The Saffy thing made me really miss them all over again and then that Tecromancer bloke really got to me with his poem about the doggy door in heaven. :upset:

So ... I'm going to spend the rest of the arvo making a nice chrissie card for youse all, youse all.

Tawn..... I know what you mean, we had to put one of our doggies to sleep a few years back, and yes it does bring back memories, i have now got two wee doggies, and love them to bits too.
