RC - I know what you mean about business. I am so excited about this job opportunity and I just got off the phone and had to explain my awful credit because of my husband's business failure. Bankruptcy, slow house payments, the whole nine yards. I got off the phone and burst into tears. :upset:
It brought all the feelings of being a bum and a loser to the surface.
Now...dont worry, friends. I know that's not the case. But to have to explain your dirty laundry to a total stranger, and he was as nice as could be, SUCKED.
2011 just HAS to be better doesn't it.

I'm here, all. Been a long day, already. Slept late, then 2 hour convo with MIL, (gag me!!!) but trying to get going. All of you better think of yourselves as beautiful, wonderful, or my universe may collapse. You all have your struggles, your problems, but you are the best, and kindest people, in the world. And I'd be no where without you, all of you. Who's not checking in?? Don't make me name names!!!! Besides, I give this site to so many newbies to check into, and help, find a family.
I've done little, besides shave my Tinks legs, today. (Tony, don't you DARE!). But all is good, as long as I don't have to leave my little hole in the wall, and my hair looks good while doing it!! I have read back, understand your problems, and I see we're missing people, as well as welcoming new.
You know, this, to me, is the best site on MWO to welcome new people to. I hope we don't scare them off by being so familar with each other, but it's the most loving, understanding, forgiving place I've found and I've been here a while. You are all peaches, in my mind, and I love you.

Okay - I am home from work and gosh, don't I have a LOT to catch up on! I will do my best!

Jan - I will send more hob nobs after Christmas - even for you, I am not going to the P.O. again before Christmas. I get them at a local World market. They also do one with dark chocolate on it and a milk chocolate on it - the plain choc ones are my favourites but they don't have them very often. I promise to send more after Christmas. Way to go on the job!!!

Bird - Laughed at you making the Spotted Dick and telling your kids!! When we were little, it was always such a treat to get it as mum would make it from scratch and it would take a couple of hours to steam and so she didn't make it much - and then we would have leftovers cold with sugar sprinkled on it - so yummy!!!

Tony - your daughter has such talent! is she going to use that talent in her career sometime? Hopefully - maybe? Or is she the one that wants to be a vet?

Rog - sounds good about the job with the new countertops - might lead to more - I bought a new tea towel and ended up getting new counter tops, new sink etc!! would have got new cupboards too but couldn't afford it so painted my old ones and bought new handles.

Oh - Ben has just come up and rested his head on my leg - AAAwwwwwwww. I have never ever had such a gentle sweet dog - considering how abused he has been - he really is SO , just SO sweet. he and Maggie are getting on fine and he greeted me when I came home - he slept in Maggies basket last night, but she rarely used it - except now of course 'cos HE is using it, she decides she wants to!! I am still giving her lots of love too. need to go and see if he needs out. Oh by the way - we have decided to call him ban - remember we had a debate about the name? well, it is Ben. There is a surprise.... LOL

Hi Flower - when I look through the thingie in my camera, the picture is all distorted - I am not working until 2.00 on Saturday so I will go to the camera shop early and see what is wrong. I am just SO camera savvy! My camera is really old - but it is digital! I want to get a picture of him so need to get it sorted. So eventually I will get a pic of him on here - and Mags too!

Hello to everyone. I so enjoy reading everyone's posts and feeling I know you all!

When will I learn to make a text document, save it, then copy and paste? Insanity, I know. Had a 'humorous' description of my day that I am way too tired to type all over again. Working all those crazy 36 hr. days, which are so welcome when you have a small business and it is Christmas shopping season. I make sure I get my orders out on time, but of course I physically ( and emotionally!) pay for it. But, I am thankful to have the work!!!

Husband told me tonight, after he went out to a dinner with 'friends' he is not going to be home for Christmas Eve or Christmas. He and a few friends are going to 'gig' to an empty hall.(long boring story) I am getting so much stronger!!!!! I am going to use that time to create a new design for a product I think will be very popular! The crying in my beer has gotten way soooooo old!! Along with me : )! So, I am going to decorate the tree we cut down on the farm and make my own little meal and then going to the drawing boards and coming up with something great! I know I can do this! I don't give myself enough free time to design, I go on what is selling, so this can be a gift to me!. I have my game plan for the next year, for my business worked out! I have , I feel this one last chance to make it. When I say that, I mean a living.

Today fought the crowds, bought hubby Christmas gifts I could not afford and supplies for baking and cooking great Christmas goodies and meals. Guess what, don't have to do it now! Wow! Freedom at last! I know, maybe alittle overdone there, but I will be positive. I think it is going to be fun to have free time!

Took some time tonight, on break, found all the wood carvings of Santas I'd done years ago and packed away when he was 'going on the road'. I put them out. I need to, after Christmas send the kids the ones I'd promised them. I wrote on the bottom of each one their name and the year...memories. I also carved hands...sounds weird, but wood carving is really my passion. Need to make sure the kids get them.

Cold here.....feels good.

So good to be back with you all. Have enjoyed the recipes! Good treats for Santa all around the world this year I can see!

Hello to everyone else - very chilly morning here again! just stood outside with Ben again - we have a fenced in garden but for now, I would rather be out there with him. He did that lovely Woo-oo sound that dogs make after he had done his stuff! Maggie just sits by me giving me a look that says "Can we go back in now and get breakfast". She is great with him.
