Hey all. Tardy here, all good, just cannot get in to the shopping/decoration/baking groove. Made a huge pot of tomato/vegetable soup, corn bread, and Ooey Butter Cake. Hubs wants us to go to a seafood restaurant we love tonight - very local, tiny town, overlooking one of the most beautiful spot on the river. Yes I'll have to put on make up. (Yuck)

Hay Ruby....so much going on. Stephen seperated his shoulder in one of his wresting matchs. Doc says he'll be out for most of the season. (He's bumb out about that.) And ....oh yes my daughter decided to have a tatoo of a horse and her fold put on her back ! My wife was furious ! My oldest has spent the past few nights on my computer doing a paper for his History class.....claimes he needed the copier.......Oh well.....I think things have calm down some...Ha! Tony

Tony, sorry about the injury, tell the baby to keep the rest of him in shape while he recovers, and he'll come back stronger than ever. As for the tatoo, I know how your wife feels, but it's not the worst she could do. When our daughter mentioned wanting one, Hubs said fine, he'd take it off with a belt sander! :H But both my neices got them, and EX DIL has a bunch (even recent ones), which in a 40 y/o woman who's marriage is falling about because of her spending, etc, and her 2 oldest children quit school, confirms her lack of judgement about priorities. If I'd ever gotten a tat, it would be of my dog Wolfgang, so I understand your daughter's devotion, and she's young! Hang on there, Daddy. You're in for a bumpy ride!! :H

You're welcome, Tony. There's so much worse that can happen, and you have sweet, beautiful kids. They'll make mistakes; God knows mine did. But I had a sweet conversation today with my adorable son-in-law about our Christmas, and I told him how proud I was about the way they are raising their children. AB is a REAL handful, would have made most parents swear off having more kids, or split them up, but they went on to have our beautiful Jack, and adopt our precious Riley, and go on helping AB learn about her gifts. She's just TOO smart, too mature in her understanding of people around her, for a regular child of 10, and it causes her to be different than other kids her age. She's not afraid of ANYTHING, except me! :H She's difficult, undpredictable, exasperating, but so brilliant she's scary. Right now her focus is boys, and she's ethereally beautiful, so that's another BIG hurdle Tip and JR have to handle. We gave her a little motorized car when she was 3 1/2, and Hubs showed the kids how to disable it so she wouldn't drive it to town one day. (Don't laugh, she would!!)

Jack has his own set of real tools, can do anything mechanical now his Dad can't, and Riley, born to crack addicted parents, is 5 and reads on a 3rd grade level.
The future is still uncertain, it always is. But you are doing all the right things, or most of them, and you have a great partner to help you balance your decisions. BTW, love the pics you post of them, along with all the nutty ones!!! :huggy, Tony

They look like their dancing ....don't they !?! ha! Stephen is at the High School tonight....they have a big tourney this weekend (wrestlers) The Keesler Classic...which my son's school won last year. He'll help out....taking score, etc. He still around the guys. I quess I'll have to bring him something eat in a little while......Tony
