So good about the job!! Is your husbands new job going to work out? So long as you're free in June for a meet. Now that I have Rog homesick for the cabin, others (several, actually) dreaming of it, it's our 'Journey Haven'. All are welcome. Even my new chat friend who went a little off on me last night, then was so sweet when we talked privately. I'm sorry if I ever sound presumptious, entitled, wealthy. I am certainly not wealthy, don't mean to be the others. I just TRULY want to share what I have, to give in my own way. So if I've given any other impression please forgive my stutter-brain. I heard once 'you spend what you make', and that's unfortunately true. It takes a LOT to keep what we have going, and Hubs and I are the bottom of the food chain when it comes to disposable money. Now I have to buy a whole new counter top for people who haven't paid me since September, and need 2 new stoves for rentals. This means once again putting off new flooring in my 30 year-old upstairs carpet. But I'm a happy camper, as long as I can make someone else forget their troubles for a minute, or hopefully longer. My new outfit will be my first in a year. My new hairdo is my first in six months. Not necessarily because I can't, but I don't put myself first. It's the way I am. I told Hubs if something happened to me, I hoped his next wife was a diva, so he could experience how women USUALLY demand things in this world (none of us here, thank goodness!!). No complaints, just how it is. My Wal-mart jeans are fine, as long as my boots work with them. And I am the world's OLDEST recycler!

You are blessed to have a hard working husband with a good(?) job that he has had for a long time. That is so rare these days. Just quit it. You deserve all you have and you give to everyone.

And yes...Daddy is to start January 2nd. So if we eat air and marshmellows for the next year, we may get caught up!!!

Okay everyone - I am finally here! Got in from work a while ago - had to take care of dogs! Bob (although we are changing his name seeing as he was called Bob by the Rescue society as they had no idea of his name) - I want to call him Ben, Hubs wants to call him Alex - watch this space...... he is the most gentle, sweetest dog ever. he has obviously been abused, but once you love him and he warms to you, although you have to move slowly round him, he is SO sweet! he has taken over Maggie's basket, even though the Foster mum brought the bed that he LOVED at her house - go figure. I have Mags on one side of me and Ben on the other. he is just so so sweet. How people can ever ever hurt animals is beyond my comprehension.

Spotted dick. In UK it is a steamed pudding with currants in it - we usually have it with custard (umm, not what you think of as custard but can't think what the equivalent is - if a fellow Brit reads this please help me out here) - it is usually served hot and is VERY yummy!! Not to be made fun of !! Just thought it might cheer Jan up a tad!!

I need to go and take the dogs out - we are in the midst of an ice - well, storm is too strong of a word - but we have a thin layer of ice over everything but the dogs must need to go out and Ben hates the doors - dread to think what happened with him and doors - once he is in or out he is fine but he HATES doors! So I put the lead on him and take him out, let him off in the garden then put it back on him to get him back in. Once he is on the lead he is better. Dear old dog. he and Maggie get on fine too.

Well I'm back from my interview..........Mama this not really a job. It's a Rehab program for Disabled Veterans. You go in and they train you for work that you can handle physically for awhile.......then you have the chance to gain employment. The VA will pay me durning this training as will the Hospital ( Hospital only: $30 a day ). I must say thought the VA will give me more while I try to get full time employment......Keep Jamin " Man ! Ha!
