So glad to hear so many made it through Christmas with no regrets and those of us who didn't, haven't lost hope !

Mama, so glad you are doing well. Doesn't giving to others when we are down and out feel so good! Ruby ...was so worried about not seeing posts from you. Know how that goes with grandkids and their 'bugs' we older folks seem to catch! Good to hear you are coming out of it.
My thoughts are with you all.

OK, I made some comments about gossip (on a local level), I don't agree with it. I love getting together with people that have other things to talk about in life. I made some comments about my husband, he is doing great and shouldn't we all be there!

Hope everyone has a safe and 'Happy' New Year's Eve! I wish us all a New Year's Eve we want to remember! Let us all make the new year our best!!

Gee when you edit, looks worse than your original post! Our 5th anniversary is today. I can see it is going to be ignored, how do I say , hopefully. I don't want anything but a calm, ignored day. I am coming to terms with that. I'm OK after next week! HA Really have goals for the new year, year 6 is not one of them! Having a successful small business is #1..

well hello long day sue doc app and then home job didnt happen til 6 so i play around and did more planing for the fire place pour a footer for it and slab and well the job went great did it in 6 hours luke is one tired puppy work from 6 to 12 hehehehe .. but hey the guy love the work and very happy ... and ask for more bussenns cards

Good Morning all - Mas, nice to see you - good that you are checking in, things will get better for you - really! Jan - thank you for the call yesterday - that was so sweet of you. I will either PM or e-mail you later - no time right now as I need to shower and stuff.

Grace - your post was a mix of up and down - you sound as if you are trying SO hard to be up but it is such a struggle for you. Keep trying - and good for you ignoring the gossip - when someone at work starts gossiping about one of the others, I try and turn it around if I can. I agree with you making this coming year our best!! Hang in there Flower!!

RC- I know you said that you wouldn't be here for a while but you didn't have to mean straight away!! Please come back - we miss you...........

Why do I even turn on the news???/ Some guy is running around England shooting women in the head with a crossbow and then dismembering them and eat them??? Good Lord...nice way to start the day.
But...Elton John got a baby boy...that's sweet. And Prince William has decided to have no servants....wonder how long that will last.
Oh well....I am rambling...must go shower....no ironing....but lots of hair drying and then off I go....

Gossip about the rich and famous seems fun? Seems almost like feeding off from fictional characters.

Local gossip is not something I want to hear. In my younger, dumb years, I think I believed so much I heard. I later learned, believe nothing you hear and only half what you see as you don't really know the story behind it.

I know the news is so crazy isn't it. I think I watch it just to know, wow, my life hasn't gotten to that level huh! The sensational, Nancy Grace, I watched when we got cable, then wondered about that too. Hey love the good news internet sites. Really isn't there more good news than bad? Isn't it inspiring to read good things people do? But it is true if my daughter was hurt by a fiend, I would want everyone to know!!!

Reality shows now bore me so much. It is like people sell their souls for fame? I was so into Jon and Kate plus 8, until I watched her belittle him, then the divorce, and then all the mess since. Reality stars bore me.

OK so much for my take on life. Hey, I always go overboard. Sorry.

MB that was a wonderful thing you did for that parent. Glad you are liking your job....T I did think that was funny about the cake. I post the pic cuz it was so funny....Rubes get better now....Sun I don't mind not having a dryer either or even washer. I like the way we live and feel I have alot and everything we need for sure plenty of food and good car and instruments thats all we need and a big yard with plenty of woods. There are some great paying welding jobs out there but I don't want them I am happy with things the way they are so that we don't have alot of money it is my own fault but this is the way I need to live, I cant stand to be tied down to a job where you are stuck there all the time. I work my own hours at where I am. Those other jobs I would have no time with my kids and I would be drunk every single night so...gotta get out and do something cuz the weather is great..later on....hey found a 100$ bill tucked away in my wallet yesterday!!! Guess I had put it back for shopping and used my debit instead...hahahaha

Still no time to chat - Hubs again dragged me from my warm leaba at an unconscionable hour to drop of his truck for repair and go to his fav breakfast place. Home long enough to pick up a few things, and off to the doctor's on the other side of ATL, so MAYBE I'll catch up tonight. Oh, BTW, Hubs is on vacation till Tuesday. That should make you understand WHY I have no time! :H

RC, what a beautiful tree and a sweet looking couple there, too! Thanks for sharing. Ruby, I am so sorry you have been so sick. It sounds horrible. It's so great to see some of you oldies back! We have missed all of you! Today has really sucked. Paul's cousin, who lives down the road, dog died last night. He was attacked by 5 coyotas and they reaped his neck open. He managed to get away from them and died on their front steps. I am absolutely terrified to let Chloe go outside now. I have been having to go out with her all day today and I never realized how much she loves to go outside. So I didn't get much else done, but a little cleaning. Will I ever get it all done so I can rest? I am so ready to begin a brand new year! I am going to make alot of changes and quitting drinking and smoking is on top of the list! So what are your new year resolutions? I really hope and pray we all have the very best year of our lives! I love you all, Vicki

I am home. I am exhausted. I am sick as a damn dog. BUT...I WILL be at work tomorrow and I am thankful for my life. What started out as a sinus infection is now in my chest and I am coughing alot and it HURTS!!!!
RC...I am so thrilled to see your pictures....I am assuming that is your daugter. I am so happy you got to see her.
Ruby...dont make me come up there and put you back in the bed.
Coyotes????? That is awful Vicks. The racoon that wandered on my back porch the other night scared the bejesus out of me...I can't imagine.

Birdy, I admire your simple life and if you are happy with it, so am I.
Gonna take some antibiotics, watch a little tv and crash. Tomorrow will be a long day and I am working by myself....oh joy.
