Drinking For Medical Not Mental Reasons?

has your blood pressure been confirmed as lower under the influence or is this based more on feeling?
I think I read somewhere that alcohol can slow heart rate (I could be wrong here!!).
I just want to make sure that what you're saying is accurate. What I would say is that if you drink to excess everyday for a couple of weeks you will notice your heart beating funny, or like the character in Withnail and I says, "like a f*cked clock."
I personally feel like my heart is losing coordination when I'm drinking all the time.
