Hi RC-I just wanted to stop in and add my support to your AF journey. I'm very impressed with how you handled your dinner event last nite.

I've never been into Taro(?) cards but you make it sound really interesting and relevant. Is there a good beginners website out there you would recommend?

Hey Cedars - glad it went well!

Sounds like a great time! What I find too is the fun people are still fun. The mother and daughter sound like a blast!

I had a great time too. It was a little different situation - a big annual party one of my horse friends has. One of my goals as I get farther into AF-ness is too stretch my boundaries more, therefore, I try to take advantage of any reason to get out and socialize. I tend to have a lot of social anxiety, which in my mind was always another reason to drink - usually before I even got there - or left the house (not that I ever needed a reason!)! I find it less and less, to the point it's almost non existent. To me this is amazing, since that is a problem that seemed to have been with me forever.

I was sending vibes your way last night driving up too!

Thanks papmom! I'm not sure if these are considered Taro cards tbh. Reading these cards is relatively new for me. My girlfriend started reading them for me and they seemed to be quite relevant. She recently loaned me the cards and guidebook to continue on my own. I've always shied away from these things believing it was contrary to Christian belief that such things were divination tools. I now look at them as simply asking for guidance not foretelling the future.

These cards are based on connecting with Heaven through the messages and guidance that the Holy Trinity, the angels and the saints have for you and your loved ones. They are produced by Doreen Virtue. I am sure there are others that you could find if this doesn't seem appropriate for you but I highly recommend these. You can google her or Hayhouse.com for more info. Dance mentioned a book that I hope to order in the new year as well. Hope that helps.

Yay you Dancing Goddess! Glad yours went well too! Isolating is never a good thing at least for any extended periods of time or if it's simply to drink alone. Stretching ourselves bits at a time builds our confidence doesn't it? I saw your new pic on FB. Hot stuff baby!!!

Last night I was thinking--dangerous as that can be.
I was thinking how I was going ok without al and that it really wasn't that big of a deal to meet this challenge. However, I also was thinking about how it will be nice to open a bottle of wine once I hit 30 days. Just wanted to note that for the record.
