Ok off to stock my fridge with as healthy as I can find in the grocery store. Most of it isn't even food anymore. It's really discouraging going there and seeing all the frankenfoods. Going to get the fixings for spinach dip for sure. I could eat that by the tub full. Thanks again for all the support folks! xo

But the fact remains that my drinking has been escalating very quickly again. So, 23 bottles of wine being picked up shortly. And a nasty Quarter pounder meal being delivered for a rather large HO.
Well I'm now wondering how to handle having alcohol in the house for my guests over Christmas?? Any ideas thoughts welcomed.

R.C. First up......good onya...you go girl.....secondly my house in a al free zone and it really doesnt phase people. That is one option...I adopted a zero tolerance to this as it is my health versus my guests mild inconvenience etc. Have you got a withdrawal plan in place? I have a list of stuff just for withdrawals if you are interested. Stay on the boards, PM me if you want any help or just to rant, talk etc. etc. R.C. we have dragons to slay and by dog we will slay the barstards.

Hi RC - it is Swannie who is volunteering at a homeless shelter this Christmas. To try and take her mind off her own grief for this first Christmas.

Keep reading me friend. The al thing is all worked out with daughter and my Mom. I won't have any withdrawals Saffy. Occasional binge drinking and in pretty good health really for 29-hehe. I might take you up on some weight training tips though. I have 5 lb weights and used to do reps every morning before I even got out of bed. I worked up to 7 then wanted to go higher but the next weight was 10. I just couldn't manage them and got discouraged to left it for awhile and now had to go back down to 5. Poop I'm going to try going NF too now. This body has had almost half a century of noxious substances ingested. Time to treat it like the temple it was designed to be. I'm with ya darlin!

I knew that Sunny. I thought Chill was too though. I don't know what SSH's story is. She's lost a family member in the past year?

                    Hi RC!
Good to hear you're giving up the smokes too. I am also (again). I'm on day 7 so far, and it hasn't been TOO bad. Do you have any suggestions as to how to beat this thing? I know another thread had the topic of whether it's harder to stop smoking or stop drinking, and I personally think it's been harder to quit smoking...I know I think about it a lot more! Anyway, WE can do this....let's hang in there! :h
:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Not really K9. 15 years ago I quit smoking for 9 months. I did give up coffee and booze initially as the two go hand in hand for me. Sheer determination is really all I did. Chewed on some cinnamon or licorice sticks sometimes. I'm sure the cravings for cigs will hit more than al. When cravings come I am just going to say to myself "it's only a craving, it won't last forever and I don't have to give in". I'm going to do some dry brushing to aid in detoxing too. :l

Yes, those are my eyes, and I'm keeping them both on you. RC, we will hold hands tight and stick together through December. How about we PM each other each day with how we're doing and that way we can stay very close?

I have angels, angels eyes and Santa watching me now. I'm gonna get paranoid. And yes, I saw your comment about "tears of a clown". My tears have filled valleys in the last 10 years. Kinda like the donkey climbing the dirt to get out of the well perhaps? How about email? My pm box gets full really quickly. I'll pm mine to you if that works for you. Hand extended sister! Nice hair too!
