Good morning, Hi Tips! Feeling ok today? We were blasted with snow storms yesterday. Luckily,, I don't work too far from home so was able to make it back with the commuter train (like the DART) and walking a few miles because no buses were running. The kid's schools are close too so we all made it safe and sound. Thousands of others were trapped in their cars on the motorways all night (brrr!) or were forced to sleep at their workplace. Don't know if schools are closed today yet. Probably won't be in our town because they are like little village schools and the kids can just walk. Cars and lorries are forbidden on the roads this morning . Like an ice rink out there! OK that was expat's weather report for the Western Paris region:H. How's everybody else doing?

This for you, Tipperoonie... I gather your day has not started off so well. Hope things improve...


Ex - glad you are safe and sound at home. Best place to be in that weather, I'd say. We're supposed to get cold weather on the weekend - all the way down to 8C. Cold enough for this time of year. If we get snow, it will not likely be til January or February.

Been out for a couple, the sea air is wonderful. Got a massive blister, god knows why cos I walk a lot every day. Maybe its telling me to rest up
