    Army Thread 10th December

    Morning, Army

I'll be working from home today after attending the eldest cub's final school assembly this morning. It's quite an affair with the school song and national anthem sung at full volume etc. etc and then the Grade 7s will be taking their leave after walking across the stage etc etc.

I wanted to go in a pair of roomy shorts (a la Reggie) and a t-shirt, but the cub freaked out and insisted I wear a neat pair of pants and a long-sleeved shirt (in the fecking African summer, without the benefit of aircon).

Decisions, decisions: what shall I do???

    Anyhooo... have a lovely Friday.
    I'll do whatever it takes

Hi Army, IT'S FRIDAY! No getting up and trudging through the snow while it's still dark out tomorrow!! Well, I do have to do it today though but looking forward to a restful weekend. Tips-your day sounds great! I'll have to listen to the SA national anthem on youtube so I can imagine you and the cubs:H. Zen-love that "palm Christmas tree", haha! Happy Friday to everyone else to come-expat xxx

Good morning Mr Tips, Zenny, Expat, Starty and all to come

Tips, your cub wants you to look smart so he can be proud of you, how about a compromise with long pants but a short sleeved shirt?

I had a horrendous drinking dream last night, 1st one since the early weeks of quitting and boy was it vivid! I was completely plastered and incoherent and the shame i went through the next day felt so real, I was totally distraught :upset: when I woke up this morning I'd had night sweats and the bed is saturated. I have to say I feel scared and shaken by it.

Hiya Chilli. Those dreams can be very upsetting cant they? I wonder if its because you are going through so much turmoil at the moment that brought this on?
I read yesterday that there is a possibliity you might be able to stay in Portugal?

Chill, x-post. That dream sounds horrible. I have bad dreams a lot and sometimes two or three short ones a night but I've never had a drinking dream and hope I never do.

Hey Starts the dream is bound to be because of what I'm going through, it's like my sobriety is the last thing I have to loose...

There is a chance of a job which I could do as well as the part time one I already have and if I did both I could cover my bills. Will know more next week, I'm just exploring all options at the moment. I also have a friend in Libyia who's husband is well connected over there and she says he would try and get me a secretarial job there. Money would be tax free and I'd get someplace to live, not my 1st choice but I'm just going to apply for everything and see what happens.

I reckon that dream might be because you feel deep down that going back to Scotland might be going back to your old life....and all that entails.

Careful, thats how I ended up down south :H
Always wanted to go to sunnier climes but not what I had in mind.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?
