Hello Troopers!!

Just a quick fly-by to update you on the weather in Stirly-world. They're calling for a low of just 1C here and a high of only 6C tomorrow and Woohoo - there might actually be snow on the mountains around here tomorrow morning when we get up since it is already raining. If we do, Mr. Stirly will be forced to either drive me up the mountain in his 4x4 or leave the jeep for me to drive myself up there. I love it when it snows here. Especially around Christmas time.

We've had a tiny bit of snow here already. And pernicious cold (high Monday may be just above freezing.) Think its time to take my generator and go to the cabin. (only need generator to be sure my well pumps water, will deal with the rest). I've spent nearly a week without power, with all the neighbors huddling up here because we were the highest point in the neighborhood and had the only lights!). It was the blizzard of '93, and I kept a pot of hot soup going on the wood stove, and made bread in the stove. Amazing what we can live without.
