Tis the day the tree goes up. A rather tense day which normally ends up with neither of us speaking to each other or if we're speaking it's through gritted teeth and plenty of slamming doors.

Also the day will be spent raking various baubles out of the Black Bess' mouth, she swallowed a small ornamental robin last year. It has not been seen since.

Morning All!

The weather's heated up to a balmy 6 degrees C in the last couple of days and the roads have got back to normal - in the towns at least. I went into town yesterday; to the library and the green-grocer and then walked back to find my car not in the driveway where I expected it to be. Then I remembered that I'd drove into town. I'd forgotten the car! Talk about absent-minded. Silly sod that I am. We're supposed to be getting more 'weather' and the temp has to dip again but hey-ho.

I'm feeling good; relaxed and grateful for my health, including my hilarious new faciilty for forgetfulness, and having all I need to survive and maybe prosper.

Have a restful and peaceful Sunday.

Good Morning Friends! Expat - that was lovely. Mario - you're just like me - my kids had that 24 hour big and I had it for three days flat on on my back! Good to see everyone else. 55 degrees and raining here - wish the weather would make up it's mind. Going to be in the low 30s starting tomorrow. I swear I will never get over this cold.

Hello from chilly Greece. It's a lovely sunny day but still a bite in the air. This pic was taken from the harbour a few hours ago and the clouds have blown away. That's the island of Evoia which is right across from our town. Mountains all covered with snow. I took the pic with the palm tree in it to add contrast. The caption says it .... hope you're all having a great day!!



P.S. I posted a video on the Underoonies thread. Beagle sent me a video of her dog and the puppies. Adorable!!!

Stunning picture, Stirly!!! Absolutely beautiful.

I had a rather uncomfortable nanna nap - it was too hot and we don't have airocn.

I still have to go and buy my Sunday paper - I've been a big sloth the whole weekend. Luckily it'll only be a 3-day week for us. Thursday is a public holiday, and I took a day's leave on Friday to turn it inot a nice loooooooooooong long weekend.

Afternoon Army! Just finished putting up christmas tree - it's divinely tacky - I love it, we also have a flashing blue and white set hanging on a window with a white and red boa wrapped round it, looks dangerously like a brothel, eldest little darling is visiting and got roped into 'light untangling' duty - hubs has a bit of a crisis every year with that bit! Miserable oul git - tis the season to be jolly!!

Oh Stirly what a beautiful photo!!!

Well I have had a wonderful day with my cycling group, we did 42km.
Im now home tired and cold so the fire is lite and im going to soak in the bath then eat toblerone ( i burnt 1400 calories!!) and watch x factor.......doesnt get much better (well ok if my cycle buddy Shane had come home with me it would have been even better :h)

Evening army,

Just got my tree up today and loving the christmassy feel about the house, playing carols and have my coal fire on. Oney I hope you keep the freezing weather in Ireland - I can't bear a return to the other week.
