It has been a tough time Sarge I have to feed her with a syringe and carry her all over the house (she weighs 25kg) thank fusk I'm strong Sarge - the weight training comes in handy. She seems to be happy and not in pain....on the exercise front, not good news Sarge, havent had the spirit to do much, but I'm feeling so lethargic today that I will jump back on the horse and get stuck into it. Diets going O.k. although on the 3 hr. car trip to the surgeon yesterday, I ate a whole 200gm back of chips...then felt like a bloated pig for the rest of the day (salt doesnt agree with me, although I adore it). Back to the grindstone today. Good news though troops NO GROG CONSUMED, NO CRAVINGS FOR "JUST ONE' to calm the nerves...cant believe I am coping with this without running off to the bottle shop. I sense a major ramping up in my recovery resolve and something is definitley happening at a physiological level Sarge. I completed Dr. JOan Lawsons "SEVEN WEEKS TO SOBRIETY" regime of mega vitamins and aminos (cause you know Sarge I believe that stuff works).....I firmly believe that my damaged biochemistry is well on the way to repair. As much as some proponents of the purely psychological approach to addiction management/cure will say that its all in the mind...I firmly believe that it is much more complex than that and I have done a heap of research into fixing up hypoglycemia, leaky gut syndrome, and other ailments created by the chronic ingestion of drain cleaner(alcohol)...my psyche has happily followed my lead and so far my neurotransmitters are sending out very positive signals. Fusk I rave on Sarge. Anyway into the day, I'm off to see the wizard..............................

GREAT Report Saph. We are all anxious waiting for Saffy's results. You've been through a lot lately, so a few chips are OK. just get back on track and it seems you are. My neuro freakin transmitters are locked on WOR 710 AM outta Secaucus, NJ & subjected to a Lionel Ritchie song loop. I had Cooky whack me a few time upside da head with his iron skillet. It's helping. Once you get a update PLEASE post. Sending Saffy :l and psst Saph :l

All's quiet in the barracks here Sarge.
Reduction in carb consumption is very encouraging so far troops.
Positive effect on mood and appetite control, Sir.

        Hi Sarge,

Haven't been reporting too much lately. Been pretty good with the food, AF and exercise. Not perfect but pretty good.

Hockey Sunday and I have been running most days. Off to run in the snow now.
Life is too short to be stuck in a rut!

Christmas baking for me involves making a yummy homemade Granola - I am not a baker and have not a sweet tooth. I have a salty tooth which probably is just as bad!

        Veggies, chicken and salad tonight.

        Snowshoe tomorrow.

Private Mish reporting in again Sarge. All continues to go well. No cravings, physical or psychological. I've probably hit the switch, but I have no intention of titrating down yet. Al has had too much influence in my life to not grab this chance and run with it. That's about the only exercise I'm getting as I have another 5 weels before I'm allowed to do anything strenuous. Bac is making me sleep a lot, but after years of bad sleep, I can bear this very well. I'm eating a great deal of salad atm. We now have low GI potatoes so I can make potato salad guilt free. Well, apart from the salad cream, but I need a little extra weight so I guess that's ok.
