Good morning, folksies

I hear on the news that the weather up North is still causing some difficulties. Literally hundreds of people are "trapped" in Cape Town due to flight cancellations to the UK and other airports in Europe. BA, SAA, Lufthansa, Virgin - all of them are pretty much stuck.

Anyhoooooo.... another hot but unfortunately windy day here. I'm sitting in the cool comfort of my office, contemplating the week ahead of me. But first, I shall enjoy my carrot muffin & latte

Morning Tiggeroo!

The weather is awful here, not directly where I am but all around it seems. Think we get it wednesday.
Anyway, this is the final week before the holiday and I am winding down. Had a very difficult day yesterday as I was supposed to see my Brother and his fam but couldnt because of the weather then mums landlords brought a massive stack of unopened mail. There was Christmas cards which really upset me. Anyway I wrote to the ones with addys on to tell them about mum...
Difficult day tho.

Have a days work today, but roads are not great,still freezing, how i wish i was in cape town and mr tips making me one of his splendid dinners. :-)

Morning All.
That must have been tough Starts.
We had some more snow and very low temps Tips, and it's set to continue for a while yet. (A white Christmas? Bah Humbug!) I'm not really in the mood this year. I've got three siblings who haven't spoken to me since I got back from Canada two years ago and seem to have taken the view that I'm not one of them any more. I'm the eldest and least successful (financially at least) and I guess they've judged me unacceptable family stock, but I don't really mind. Just another load of judges in the popularity contest that is life. I don't hold grudges. I love 'em all.

I am going to Oney. On Chrissy day we are getting an indian takeaway and just gonna veg out.
No pressure at all this year to do anything or be anywhere.....just going to relax...totally.

A lot of people think that HAVE to do Christmas......loads of bollix, Christmas is whatever you want it to be, no fast and hard rules.Feet up and mouth open I say!!

I, on the other hand will be doing the full works and I can't wait!

Yeah and I love the fact that its all exciting for you.
Even the peeps at work who have nothing and have no one get excited ande i find that so touching. Teaches me a lot too.
Next year I am going to set up some new traditions and will start volunteering on chrissy day. Tried this year but was too late.....

I did it one year at the local rehoming kennels it was lovely. But most years my mum liked us all to get together. I would rather get together on boxing day or new year really. Christmas is not going to be the same without mum and thats fine. But I dont want to try and re create something cos it wont work...
