That's a lot of snow, Pops. The last time I saw that much snow in one fall was in Montreal in 1975. It dumped a metre of snow on us in 48 hours. It was insane. Worst part was it was just a week before Mr. Stirly and I were getting married and I had to go to my home town to a bridal shower a friend was giving for me. Went by train and it took forever to get there. Note that it was the weekend of the 12th and 13th of April. There is a reason I prefer to live in Stirly-World...
This for Oney and JackieClaire ....

A quick hello before the daughter and I leave for the shops! Beautiful pics Pops! The snow here is just starting to melt...Thank God! I was able to get the little one off to holiday camp. It was a slippery walk over there but I would have crawled there just to get him out of the house for a bit:H. Talk later-expat xxx

Still roasting your butt off?
Yeppers - I'm even taking fewer smokebreaks to avoid the heat. Today is better at 32C, though. The only thing is that when we get home, it is likely to be 4 -5 degrees hotter than it is in central Cape Town.
(it is still nowhere as hot as Oney's butt)
I'll do whatever it takes

Dya know I couldn't cope with temps being that high either.
Expat I'm laughing cos our 2 went to a village school about 4 miles away from here and a couple of days I had to battle hideous snowy roads in a wee mini metro. They were going to school come hell or high water. Yep I would have walked it to get them out me hair for a few hours. It could be worse, I could be filing.

We have been feeding the birds too. We actually had a huge flock of seagulls fly in from the coast because of the cold. We were throwing bread out of the window (we live on the 2nd floor) and they were going crazy! It was quite beautiful seeing the white birds in the white snow...
. Ok-off shopping now!
