I'm sitting here working out me timings to look as if I've done something vaguely useful.
Mr JC's got the afternoon off. Last time he got the afternoon off he came waltzing in here at 4.30pm. I'd been sat on the settee like Billy no mates for nearly 2 hours.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Time flies.... (disappears with Al...) my eldest is 22, youngest is 2... sheesh, said i'd never have kids, 4 is enough !!
Haven't had much to offer or say - but am starting to reduce the valium (yuk, it's like Al gone wrong...) and grope my way into reality !! Tis great to be here seeing you all getting on with it, appreciate the "restrained" and "tasteful" humour
to be found on this thread !!

Good Morning All! Success at my work Christmas party! Stayed three hours, sipped my cranberry juice and seltzer, had wonderful food, played some hilarious games and talked and laughed like hell with my coworkers...and doing it sober for the first time ever! So much fun. I actually was kind of grossed out by the smell of the booze which was weird. I got home in time to snuggle with my girls and get a good night's sleep. AND the heater was working when I woke up! How awesome is that
Should be a ghost and/or zombie town in the office today. They told people that they would pay for the hotel (next to the office) so that pretty much meant people probably drank until the wee hours. Oh well, I plan on finishing up my stuff, leaving early and getting on with my vacation. I am off until Jan 3 to spend time wth my kids. Really looking forward to it. Tomorrow is my little one's pre-K play so I will be making her costume tonight. I am so excited to be able to see it AND not be hungover. I can actually enjoy it!
Today is day 52 sober for me. Can you freaking believe that? Never thought I would see the day.
Don't have time to read through the thread until later, but wanted to say hi and say thank you for all your love and support. I could not have made it 52 days, or through a booze-fueled party without my friends here. Big Wednesday smooches to all of you!
