It is now just after 3.00 p.m. Mrs. T and the cubs are in the pool, where I'll be joining them shortly. It must be in the region of 30 / 32C today, but there is some wind - luckily not too strong, though.

There is an almost unnatural quiet in the neighbourhood. Maybe it's because so many people are away on holiday, and the rest are treating Christmas kinda like a Sunday? The people around here are mostly Afrikaans-speaking and Christmas still has more of a religious connotation than you tend to find these days.

Anyhoo... let me swipe another nougat nugget from the box before I put on my swimming trunks and go and blind my family with the midday glare of the sun off my untanned skin.

Just got back from a fabulous dinner at my mum and dads, some of you may remember my aunty passing away earlier this year, well dad called my uncle this morning to see how he was and both of his sons were having dinner with their girlfriends and had left him home alone, my dad was gutted!!! So we fetched him round to join us and it was great!!!!
