    Army Thread 26th December

    Happy Boxing Day peeps

I hope everyone had a good day yest?
Mine was better than expected. Started off quite badly with a so called "friend" being a nasty bugger and a bit of a row with Mr Starts. But all was well in the end. In fact as days go, it was quite nice....I think the key was to try not to recreate past Christmases...

Anyway today we are off to the Cotswolds to meet up with my brother and his family in a lovely old 16th Century pub in a little village so that will be good fun.

    Good morning, Starty :l

I'm glad to hear your report-back

Ditto here - I managed my expectations muuuuuuuuuch better this time round. I focused just on my own little immediate family and that was enough.

Sounds like you have a nice day planned!

It is going to be another scorcher today (yes, I know it sounds like a refrain)... We don't have any specific plans. We think a good friend of ours who emigrated to the UK last year will pop over for another visit. I have a leg of lamb in the fridge should she do so - she tells me that mine is the best she's ever tasted (I bet she says that to all the boys). Other than that, we'll probably just lounge around the pool. All I really have to do is pop into the local Spar to grab some milk & cold drinks.

Dead jealous here! Snow is still covering everywhere and its feckin freezing!
Glad your day was better too.
Christmas can be such a fraught time on so many levels

I am starting to think of new years resolutions now. My first one I have pinched from Tawny

"Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful"

      You got any ?

Thank feck my trusty y-fronts are safe, then

I don't really do NYRs in a big way. But this is going to be a year of some life re-arrangement that is desperately needed. I've kinda reached a plateau, and that isn't good.

Nup, a shakeup is needed then. Thats why I like NYR it is like a good opportunity for some fresh starts.

Your tighty whities fit every criteria and will stay with me forever :h

Morning Starts, Tips,Mrs A and all those yet to drop by

Well a very good day was had by all in the JC house, apart from the Black Bess having a nervous breakdown when we pulled the crackers. She sat quivering at the bottom of the stairs and had to be lured out by bits of streaky bacon and turkey. Dya think it was a cunning plan.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Good morning Army, Planning a quiet day at home. There are still some toys to put together and I still need to figure out how to work my new camera-help! And as far as NYR, I know mine to stop smoking. It will not be fun or easy but has become a necessity. Of course for all the health reasons but it has become a habit that I just can't afford. I smoke because I'm stressed but I'm also stressed because I'm always broke. And cigs are VERY expensive over here. So I'll just have to bite the bullet and go for it. Hope everybody has a great Sunday:l. expat xxx
