    What about laser treatment?
My eyes haven't stabilised, unfortunately, so I don't want to take that risk. Plus it isn't covered by our Medical Aid Fund. If I want it done, I'll have to pay out of my own pocket - I simply can't afford it.

A quick hello to everybody before I go sort out some bill problems and other shite:upset:. Putting on my big girl pants and just gonna do it. January is going to suck-money wise-but with some careful living (NO MORE CIGS, no restaurants, no shopping, budget eating etc) we should (I hope) be out of this mess by Feb or March. Tips-go for contact lenses! You'll only feel funny without your glasses for a week or so. Then you get used to it. I am blind as a bat myself-and have both contacts and specs. I was scared to have the laser done but I have some friends who have done it and say it was like a miracle.

Morning all! Still laughoing from last night's thread!

Expat - lunch with CLOWNS! Jesus, that is my nightmare of all nighmares. Throw in some porcelain dolls and you might as well just stick me in a rubber room...lol

Hope everyone is well. Today I decided I shall take the baby to the babysitter for a few hours just so I can get a handle on the house - it looks like a toy bomb went off. Also need to get some other housework done which I can't when I am chasing her around. I always feel terribly guilty to take her to the sitters when I am not working - I don't get to spend nearly enough time wth her as I work and commute, but I need to clean for my sanity!

KTABs glad you are feeling better. Everyone else - hope this day is happy and healthy.

        Talk later

          Hiya, Waggie

You always sound so upbeat! Fantastic stuff!

Well, I've done the deed... Went to yet another optometrist and finally found a pair of frames I like. As I type, I'm also wearing a pair of contact lenses to see how it goes... The optometrist reckons I should actually wear glasses for work, because of my astigmatism, and the contacts over weekends and so on.

We shall see... (no pun intended).

My eyes have deteriorated further, I'm afraid, especially the left one, which explains the headaches I've been getting. And to think that Mrs. T didn't believe me :H:H:H
