Hello everybody! Welcome back Spuds-how's the pup? Today is my pugster's 7th birthday! I had completely forgotten! But my son reminded me-they are both 7 now--"my boys":H. I had talked weeks ago about getting a beef bone from the butcher for his birthday-the dog not my son, haha! But they are closed now-so maybe tomorrow. The only time the pug dog growled at me in his sweet life was when my ex gave him a bone a few years ago. He has not had one since. Hmmm, are those even good for a dog's health? We had thought about locking him in the kitchen with the bone and let him knaw his little heart out. Anyway, we had a lovely walk in the woods-still snow and ice covered. It turned out to be quite an adventure! We found a beautiful ice covered lake after about an hour walk into the woods. There were loads of ducks and ??? nutria /beaver/ otter looking creatures swimming around the ice. They were starving! They came towards us looking for food. We are going back in the morning with whole grain bread to feed them.I've also been feeding the stray cats in the neighborhood. Poor things!

I've had to change the menu for tomorrow night. Our gale force winds are set to last until at least Saturday, so I'm going to be making a roast leg of lamb and roast chicken stuffed under the skin with a butter, herb & garlic mixture instead of BBQing steak.I'll do whatever it takes

Back from a day of doing nice things for Mrs A.
Went for a run around a village I really love and looked at all the pretty houses.
Went to Chester to some wine tastings with Mr Anon BORING --and then he took me to L'occitane and bought me a gift set and some of that handcream. He reckons he has saved that much on wine not drunk by moi!
It is my 64th birthday soon so I was bought lots of things I really like. Then we went for a nice meal in a french restaurant where we usually have a bottle of the house red but I was more than pleased with the orange and soda
Hiya Spuds btw and will read back now--Did you get the keyboard JC?

ZEN!!! Are you still ill? Do you have the flu? They've just started talking about it on the radio-saying how people are not going to get the vaccine this year because of how last year's epedimic "was blown out of proportion". Remember how the W.H.O. lady came on telly and was like warning the world?? My kids and I did get the "swine" flu last late OCT and early Nov. Like dominoes. I was the third and worst hit out of the three of us. 40? temp and HORRIBLE body aches and ..well, other stuff. I actually rang "15" -our emergency service here because I was crawlling across the floor thought I was going to die! But, our good socialist system just asked me questions like: age-(fill in blank-youngish, do you have ashtma-no, AIDS?-NO! So they were just like-OK, take some paracetomol-we can't do anything for you. CLICK. Well, I survived.

Have any of you noticed that one can only look back at the last 500 of other people's posts. That is a fairly recent development. I was searching for something someone posted in August and saw what they (the MWO Admins) have done.
It is sometimes easier than using the search facility, because that usually brings back a whole bunch of irrelevant stuff as well.
I emailed them about it, but no response yetI'll do whatever it takes
