What I Accomplished Today Because I Did Not Drink:
1. I awoke, unhung and happy, and delighted to see a new day where I felt fantastic.
I logged onto MWO for 2 hours...posted, lurked, and learned. I printed out 3 posts in particular which will boost my AF resolve this weekend.
2. I worked out for 2.5 hours and burned 1,500 calories. Then I soaked in a hot tub, feeling unhung, happy and alive. I could not have done this drinking or hungover.
3. I went clothes shopping today...happily now that I am down a size due to NOT drinking.
4. I spent 4 hours working on my business. I travel all over the world and I always need an advanced plan...one filled with detailed execution and confidence. When I was drinking, everything was by the seat of my pants because I was always filled with the anxiety that I had left all the details until the last minute because the booze was oh-so-more-important.
5. I had lunch at a lovely restaurant and ordered sparkling water....grateful that I could enjoy the Christmas decorations, and grateful that drinking thinking did not exist where I could have said, "I think I'll just sit here and drink.....then I'll be happy."

6. I made an egg dish as my family is coming tomorrow for brunch. This egg dish is supposed to be made the night before. Last year at this time, I waited until 6 hours before they arrived to make this dish because the night before, I chose my friend the bottle instead. Then, the morning of the brunch, I was overwhelmed by anxiety because I was afraid it wouldn't turn out. Yes, it turned out, but I served brunch with a flushed face, and a look of total despair easily recognizable by my family.
7. I spent 3 hours preparing my home for our NYE celebration. The table is set, the house is sparkling, and I am at peace.
