What I Accomplished Today Because I Did Not Drink

Me too. I love reading a story to my son at bedtime. This is the moment when we have deep conversations like how he loves my belly because he came out of it. And he is glad that I love him more than the cat. And why do we have to pick up dog poo. Important stuff.

Before I use to rush this part so that I could "relax" and drink in peace.

What I Accomplished Today Because I Did Not Drink

Not tonight & rebirth I love these stories they put a smile on my face because these are the happy memories your children will remember and love. I know that I fully engage with people now rather than brushing them off so that I could get to the next drink.

Today I got lots of chores done around the house, read a couple of chapters of my new book, knitted, talked to a friend and my Mum on the phone (and remembered the conversations), brought in coal and logs for the fires, cleaned out a couple of kitchem cupboards and the fridge, cooked a nice dinner, went to a yoga class, walked for half an hour in the fresh air and smiled at everyone I passed. A also wrote a list of things to do tomorrow and spent a while on MWO. Phheewww and in my drinking days I would have spent my day off on the couch with a bottle or two of wine.

Great thread Rusty, thank you :l
Enjoy today - there will be no other one quite like it....

I met my friend and her mother for tea and cake tonight! My friend's mom is over from Cyprus and I was really keen to meet her and I know it meant a lot to her cuz I was interested.

What I Accomplished Today Because I Did Not Drink

Today I was clear headed and sharp at work. I got a huge amount accomplished and found time to post here because I actually had a little spare time! If I was drinking I wouldn't have been able to think clearly before noon and everything would have taken twice as long to finish.
