Hi Dixon, glad you started the new thread (far better, more optimistic) and am so very glad you are on your path to sobriety. No matter what life entails, you WILL feel and do it better sober ... no hangovers, no remorse, no regrets, no shame, no fear, more energy, more spark, more spunk, and life-giving opportunity. I wish you only the best, as always, j

Hi Dixon. I, too am glad to see a more positive 'you' and can see that you are on the right track. 5 days AF is awesome.
       :yougo: :kudos:
Have you looked at the thread on meds to help with getting and staying sober. I am taking Baclofen and have lost all interest in Al. Also the Tool Box offers a lot of great suggestions which are very helpful, especially in the early days.
I wish you well and hope I can be of assistance on your journey.

Dixon congratulations on 5 days AF! You are doing fantastic.... Let's make that 6 days and start the New Year with a clear head and optimism for a bright future. You are so much happier in such a short time and this should be a great incentive to stay AF. It's the AL which causes the unhappiness and hopelessness and you sound like a different person already.

Dixon! Wonderful new thread - full of positive vibes and hope - as it should be! You should be very proud of yourself. I hope the new year brings you clarity, comfort and family harmony. It may take a while, but stay at being sober and you wll be amazed at how things can work out. Happy New Year
