Brilliant!!! Yep, the bags will allow lots of heat generation, and protect from getting waterlogged if any more rain comes.

Ripper! I'll start properly tomorrow. I brought one barrow load up today and it's a hell of a walk so Plan B seems a better option. I just want to gather it while it's still nice and damp.
An interesting aside ... I think all this rain has fooled the roses into thinking they're having their autumn flush. They're going crazy.
Kinda like us old boilers really ...

now if i was into gardening i'd find this fascinating. troollly.
but i'm not. just sterilised "the bitch" & amazingly enough she has come thru the op very well. sometimes i amaze even myself at the old "never forget how to ride the bicycle" adage.
an old surgeon with shaky hands can still steady up to cut out the odd uterus. & do the iv.
& suture with quite nice single interrupteds if i must say.
SO no more pups for that bitch, & i'll be in the same boat come Feb. then it'll be up to the a) Gold retr bitch &/or b) the Quarterhorse mare. hell, if i can't breed then they might as well.
hot hot hot - didn't i mention that earlier?
tawny : hope you're drying out ok.
bridgee : have you been flooded? with water i mean.
so horrible to think of the aftermath - the mud, sludge, stench, utilities interrupted, food 7 water......ahhh shit it all.
hope you are all well & good.
will talk again soon.

why tawny how nice of you to say.
i often consider myself a horrible vet considering the language i use. but never out loud unless the farmer swears also.
i'm just sometimes grateful that i've done what i've done to help occasionally.my own & others.

Beagle, likewise.
Our local vet (now retired) was fantastic with one of my cats who got his front paw caught in a rabbit trap which meant amputation, and then 6 months later he was hit by a car which necessitated both femur heads having to be removed. This happened while my husband was in hospital.. The vet was terrific, said pay the bill when you can, and kept the cat at the hospital free for a fortnight, and let him have free reign in the surgery. His favourite place was under the vets desk.
Later, whenever he had to go to the vet, he'd head straight for the desk in the ante room! Didn't want to come home.

This was on my website home page just now
A 29-year-old man has died after being struck in the neck by the shears he was using on a sheep.
SafeWork SA is investigating the fatal shearing incident which occurred near Tarlee, north of Adelaide, on Tuesday.
The man's colleagues drove him to Kapunda Hospital where he died shortly after arrival.
"We know that he was in the process of shearing a sheep," a SafeWork SA spokesman told ninemsn.
"He was an experienced shearer , he had quite a number of years under his belt."
The spokesman said SafeWork SA were interviewing witnesses to try to put together a sequence of events that led to the fatal injury.
No further details were immediately available.

Oh dear Looks like I'm hogging the page. This will be my last post today as I have to do some serious study for a scuba course which involves using my brain in a way mathematical.
But just before I go, remember when this
used to be this
Now it is this
And no longer this

Thanks ladies - it's still too boggy to get a vehicle down there so do you reckon if I just filled garbags with the stuff, closed them up and left them until I can drive down it would serve the same purpose?
Techie ... you're incorrigible ...
And now....back to our regular programming......If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
