Morning Bridge, Tawn and all to follow,

Happy Straya day to you lovely lovelies........got lunch planned with little sista, just me and her. Quiet day after that with Lucy a good Maeve Binchy book and a chair under the tree (bliss). Sorta zorsted after the work situation this week, so taking it nice and gentle. Beautiful day in paradise...have a safe, magical day youse lot eh!!!!!

Sapphy - enjoy that Maeve, the chair and the tree. Hope you get to doze off and dream of lighter things ...

I've assembled a platter of tucker to be fanged throughout the day. Included is

• a bowl of warmed, marinated Greek Kalamata olives
• a couple of squares of cold Italian spinach fritata
• a bowl of Turkish beetroot dip
• a pile of Indian papadoms with which to scoop up said dip
• some ham hock terrine with French seeded mustard
• some great Pommy Stilton

Why wouldn't you enjoy Australia Day? I love this multi-cultural land.

My fault Bridge. I did a lot of mis-communicating yesterday in real life as well as on-line. I'm putting it down to an allergic reaction to going back to work and having to deal with some embuggerances which resulted in a bit (a lot) of grumpiness and impatience.

Today has been much better!!!

Tawny - if you have any of that food left can you leave a doggy bag outside your letter-box please (I'd drop in unannounced, but I know you wouldn't welcome that)

Sapph - a nice and gentle day sounds like just the ticket after your week. Hope you have a nice time with your sister.

Hope all aussies are having a lovely Australia Day. I shall point out to my fellow "Risk" players that today would not be a good day for an invasion :H

Hiya Techrah ... where ya been? Too famous to talk to us now I guess.

Bridge - it's all really lovely. If you do the Beetroot dip, add some ground cumin and coriander for the Turkish flavour. Bloody lovely. You can come and have some - just don't stay for a bloody week. And DON'T try to do me a favour by defrosting my fridge. OR washing my curtains.
