    Underoos and Friends Jan 2011

    Evening Underoos,
Ficks Reportage on Cake. It ain't much to look at but by golly it's deadly. Birthday boy was happy and had seconds which is pretty tough as this is the richest cake in the universe. Kinda like a Giant Chocolate Truffle. And no, i did not succumb and hand out recipes, even though everyone was on my case, because it is one of those secret family things.

And here is the Birthday Boy! I wish I could live so long and in such good health, what an inspiration!!

Part of the party was naming his new little dog... we all put names in a hat and took ages to make the final decision... What a lucky little dog - he was the one that had been at the RSPCA longer than any other animal so it's a wonderful thing he now has a loving home (not to mention loving neighbours)
Oh and i finally found the resize button (duh!)

Well boys and girls, while you've all been lying in bed, I had a 2km swim in the sea and then cycled 18km home into a head wind. I think I am going to have a hot bath and a wee snooze before I start making Xmas dinner for Mr B and his lad ......

I can just see Mr G in his white one piece trouser suit which lots of bling :H:H:H

The birthday boy has the most gentle face and looks like a real darling. What a sweet Fickle you are to fold him into your loving family.
As for this wee dogger...how could it be that he was at the RSPCA longer than any others? What a face, brimming with personality. And that hairdo...priceless. What fun you must have had picking a name for him. What did he end up being named?

Bridge, my thoughts are with you. This is a truly hideous situation.
I had a ghastly experience some years back when my neice, who was staying with us, told me one morning that someone had come into her room during the night and touched her inappropriately. She was 15 at the time. We had a few friends for dinner the previous night and the drinking went on well into the night, as it does (or did).
I had the joyous task of telling my friend what her husband (also my friend) had done, then speaking with him and then ringing my sister in law to tell her what had happened. I was sick over the whole thing. I still get a physical reaction when I think about it.
Once all the threats and recriminations were over I realised I had done a very courageous thing and handled it with extraordinary strength, but at the time I wished she'd told someone else apart from me so they had to deal with it.
Missy, that swim sounds fantastic, but riding into a gale, no thanks.

                          What's his name??
He looks like a well scrubbed Gaspode (for Terry Pratchett fans).

The cake looks like it is 150% calories ... YIPPEEE.

And gee, he doesn't look a day over 75. Hope I look that good when I'm his age. Minus the beard though. Mr. Rags' dad is only 84 and looks heaps older than that.

It's great that you are such a wonderful neighbour.

Oh Mish, that is ghastly. And yes, you were very courageous and strong to have dealt with it straight up like that.

very good of you . A lot of people would probably sweep it under the carpet and hope the problem would go away.
