sweet dreams..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ECkMzBcQPk[/video]]YouTube - Roger Hodgson - Had a Dream........ Hello loving friends. I was stuck in New Hampshire after skiing all day yesterday. Road closed to vehicles w/o chains. My mobile connect card was intermittently connecting, and I have a bruise on my left thigh that's shaped like my home state and almost as large. Just leaving rest stop on I91 after spilling a grande latte on self and vehicle interior. I could bitch slap a union worker. Just NOW focusing on positive thoughts.....YEAH RIGHT!!!

Talk to you all later when I get home and change into something camo!

          STATE POLITICAL CORRESPONDENT
THE State Government has secretly destroyed more than 50,000 ``dinosaur?? plants once lauded for their potential to promote conservation.
In a move that has angered green groups and robbed taxpayers of almost $200,000 in sales, the state?s last remaining stock of 52,000 wollemi pines was destroyed by ``burning, burying or mulching??.
The revelation comes after the Government recently formally wound up the much-vaunted wollemi pine project - earlier touted as a global hit - after woeful sales resulted in a $12 million loss for taxpayers.
In the wild, the wollemi pine is one of the world?s oldest and rarest plants, with fewer than 100 adult trees known to exist in a small area of the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, discovered in 1994.
After horticulturalists managed to ensure the wollemi?s survival by successfully propagating the plant, the Queensland Government won a tender to prepare the pine for the international market.
Last year?s annual report by Forestry Plantations Queensland revealed the Government had 66,000 wollemi pines worth $261,000.
About 8000 were sold for $76,000 to Victoria-based company The Wollemi Pine at $9.50 each. The plants are now selling for $69.90 each.
Another 6000 were given to botanic gardens and community groups.
But Primary Industries Minister Tim Mulherin yesterday said there was no market for the remaining 52,000 pines - worth $185,000 - with some root-bound and unsaleable.
``When plants are destroyed in large numbers like this, it is routinely by burning, burying or mulching,?? he said.
It was a major turnaround in the plant?s fortunes, after former premier Peter Beattie lauded the pine in 2005, saying: ``(It) is regarded as a flagship species to raise awareness of conservation.??
Queensland Senator Barnaby Joyce, a wollemi fanatic, questioned why the trees were not offered to the public.
``What??? he said, when told of the culling.
``I?m sorry, Tim, the wollemi did not meet your expectations of beauty after 200 million years of evolution??
Queensland Conservation Council chief Toby Hutcheon agreed the plants should have been offered publicly.
``We aren?t pleased when plants are destroyed, particularly wollemis,?? he said.

            Morning lovlies,

Havent read back much as have just thrown myself in the door and used my last remaining drop of energy to switch on computer. Bloody hell narelle, have I been slogging it out!!! Love love love my new job...it has all the elements that deeply satisfy my need to put back into the community and contribute in a meaningful way.

But geez its hard yacka. Defo couldnt do it five days a week. Three suits me juts fine. Things are moving and shaking around my house...Rowan is on the boat to begin his most excellent adventure, touring and working his way around the mainland for about six months. The two youngest are off to Uni.....looking for accomodation as we speak, so its quite likely that they will be moving out of home in the next two weeks. Lucy has put on a bit of weight and settled in beautifully..she is an absolute delight and has so many similar traits to my beloved Saffy....gotta stop the comparisons as she is her own person...but its so hard not to call her Saffy:upset:

Off for a nanna nap and then back into the domestic stuff. I am filling up some "weekend" time with some more personal training clients, starting this arvo (no rest for the wicked).

Its just started a soft gentle rain..ah bliss...see yas later:h:h:h

              Hello again peeps
Can I just quietly pop my head round the door and say hi without any fanfare, just to gently ease myself back in? A friend died last week due to alcoholism and it's thrown me. What's the cure (or name for) fear of death? This isn't meant to be a morbid post, but I can't find the smileys (I hear your sigh of relief there Tawnie)

Hiya Blondie - looong time no see - no fanfares as requested. So sorry to hear about your friend. Stick around, (with or without the little smiling thingies).

Sapphy - you're sounding on top of the world.

No fanfare Blondie, but a big and genuine welcome. I'm sorry to hear about your friend, and I can understand why it would throw you. Sometimes these are timely warnings..
A full week ahead for me, after which there should be a semblance of routine and normality. Can't wait
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

                      Hello Blondie,
Not a morbid post at all. As Bridge says, a timely warning.
Thanataphobia is the term used for fear of death, and thanatpsis is the contemplation of death.
