Morning ... and it's raining. Again. Speaking of which ... I know Aspy's in Brisbane but do we know where CW lives in Qld? Haven't seen her for a while and I was wondering if she could be in the flood areas? Any clues?

          hi gang, all swell here...
misses got a tex at 12:30 this morn from a mate of hers who lives in the lockier vally, telling all she was fine, but had been evacuated to the local school, 7 dead so far in her area. was a super fast flash flood.

we are high if not dry, i had to detour to get to work, but i live in suburbs so i have lots of routes to chose from.

            Morning everyone,
Morning Aspy, my word, you've been copping it up there! I have a friend who lives in Qld. I'll give her a ring later to-day, see how their place is.

We've been getting our share here too. All my downstairs room are smellly, which I assume means mould... so over the next couple of days clear out all the wardrobes and wash down with bleach or something. Or does anyone have any other ideas?

Hiya Undies...you can make a mister with oil of oregano. It works and much healthier than bleach.
The medicinal effectiveness of the Mediterranean Wild Oregano Oil is unparalleled.

rags, oil of cloves mixed with h2o is great for mold too. bleach dont kill the roots of mold, just the 'flowers'.

                      Thanks Aspy. :thanks:
Didn't realise bleach didn't kill the mould. Oil of cloves seems much nicer. Will also use it on the inside of the trailer sailer, as it gets mouldy too.

By the way, are you likely to get flooded in your new home, or are you high enough.

No, sorry, you are getting it all!! The only places that get those big dumps to be in the north and the east coast.

                              Afternoon undie-grundies,

Hope everyone is fine and dandy and dry. We are about to get some heavy rain here today, but only around 40mm. The boys dad lives in Brisbane close to the city centre and has cancelled a trip here to look out for his house. He is not far from the river. Bloody awful stuff isnt it!!!!!!!!

                                Raggsy ?????? You back yet?

Yup, raining still but nothing of biblical proportions so I mustn't whinge. I'm being Hector the Director and moving water from one tank to another to the pond to the dam to the roadway.

Sometimes I wonder why I don't move to a chintzy little apartment in the city and then reality hits me.
