    Morning all!

Well Oamaru if completely fab! I was expecting a tin pot boring little place but it is really pretty, had fabulous architecture and the whole town is getting into Steampunk which I had never heard of before.
Steampunk - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A totally quirky and eccentric little place, and right up my alley, which is just as well as I now have a weeks work down there in March!!!

Feeling a bit disappointed in myself this morning - I decided earlier in the week to chicken out of the 2.8km ocean swim today as the weather forecast was really bad (gusty southerlies - which drops the water temperature significantly - cold and rainy.) Plus I wasn't getting back until late last night. However the day has dawned with sun and blue skies and a very light northerly. Oh well .........

Last day of Mr B's boy being here today. We have a busy day ahead doing all the things he wanted to do that we haven't yet got around to. Starting off with a cooking lesson from Mr B on how to do big cooked breakfasts, so I can go back to bed for now and wait until the smells waft up the stairs .....

Are you home already Missy love ? What a gorgeous little place that is.

So how was Oprah's half sister ? Why'd she wait so long to pull er out of the closet ? :H

Serious arse kickage is going to occur here today.

      That is all.

        Morning Missy & Bridge,

Well I'd never heard of Steampunk either, Missy. Thanks for the link - a great read. Can't wait to spot my first steampunk walking through the main street. I had a look at Oamaru and saw some great boulders. Looked a fabulous place. What did we ever do before Google?

Bridge - she only just found out. It was a good story.

Mission for the day is getting rid of the cobbies that are festooned inside the froghouse resembling an Addams Family set. This will involve a tall ladder.

                    hi everyone.
back after a week away, cleaning up at "the place". had some productive hrs & then the heat stops you in your tracks. went canoeing along the river on Oz day, so beautiful.
went walking in the am with the hubby - Gold retr going crazy was hilarious to watch.
drove home in 44 degree heat yesty but sparing thought for hubby (doesn't happen often!) as he drove fixed-up ute home with NO AIR CON. 200 kms, going 90 km/hr as ute boils....but the tight buggars reckon they didn't NEED air-con when they bought it.....oh yes noice one.
back to dust storms & heat.

rode mare today, & i will get her mated in the spring so more babies for me in a surrogate sorta fashion....gestation is 11 months for mares so 2012 will bring my much anticipated next performance horse....yay!

nice to read back & see everyone doing what everyone does....hello to all.

i will drop in on the army thread & the bootcamp thread ...

huuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmm. not much more to say really. i'm feeling sorta boring. & sorta bored.

er,might drop in later when i have something more productive/entrertaining/downright humourous to say.
i will now exit in a sort of bemused fashion not knowing what the feck i'm going on about here.....:thanks:

Hi Beagle, always nice to see you and you are never boring!!

Cant imagine what 44 degrees feels like. We sit steadily on 22-23 at this time of year and dont get the extreme weather events that other places in NZ and Oz do.

                      when is your surgery?

There?s water in her parlour and water in her yard.
She's trying to be patient here, trying very hard.
You pick a fight and then back down, saying it wasn?t you.
But everybody read your posts and knows it isn?t true.
So don?t be coming back again with trouble on your mind.
We have room for almost all, but not the fighting kind.
You ask for help and patience but then you go and ?smack? her.
So they turn against you and don?t give a fat rat?s clacker.
So fill your pan with sticky dough and bake some cakes or breads.
It's better than making trouble and messing with our heads.
That is really cruel. I don't mean to hurt anyone.

I would like you to all understand that I am severely depressed. I am also suffreing from Borderline Personality Disorder. So sometimes I do not say or do the right thing. I see now, where I called someone a bitch. It was not meant in the way it was obviously taken. I am struggling every day to just live. Sometimes I drink, sometimes I don't. I am working with my doctor to fix myself. I apologise to everyone. I am a really nice person normally. Sadly, I am just not normal at present. I wish I could say something more positive. I answered a post from someone I "knew" but perhaps I shouldn't even do that. I am sorry, So sorry. But can you please recall the person I am?

Pan, I don't know you, but I certainly understand depression and was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (wrongly...ADHD turned out to be the culprit disguising itself) and I never in my life called anyone a bitch. I don't understand how calling someone a bitch can be taken the wrong way...as I see it, there's only one way it can be taken.
You said you answered a post from someone you 'knew' but suggested you maybe shouldn't do that? Why not? Could it be that you're feeling just a wee bit sorry for yourself and are playing the victim?
Mental illness is no excuse to be nasty. I should know.
Pan, if you really want to be received back, accept the fact that you've ostracised yourself from a group of people whom I have found to be very kind and accepting. Stop complaining about how you're misunderstood, suck it up, stop whining and replace bad behaviour with the good.
I'm certainly ready to give you the benefit of the doubt if you can prove yourself sincere, and maybe the rest of the thoroughly decent folk can look past former indiscretions.
I do wish you well with your doctor and hope you can find the health you're seeking.

Hi Pan, its good to see you getting help from your doctor. Keep that up.
I work with many people who have BPD and to date, not one of them has ever been nasty or rude to me. So please dont use that as an excuse.
Many of us here have mental health problems, yet somehow we manage to use this place to give support and gain friendships and in doing that, it makes our own problems easier to bear.
