    Time for me to sign out and go do my nightly 'getting ready for bed in my own inimitable way' ritual. Hope I've made up for my absence today. It was fairly easy since I've not left the office and have accomplished great things. Nighty night, friends. Big Hugs.

        Hi,
        Wow I thought I would just take a quick break and write but the number of entries took a while to read. You guys are sizzling today!
        Thanks to Vicki on acknowoging the anniversary of my mom's passing. Tomorrow would have been my wedding anniversary. Thirty-nine years ago I was singing "I'm getting married in the morning." We stayed married until he passed away a year and a half ago. Tough week. Keepin very busy this week.
        No time for downtown with wine!
        Vicki what's your Mom's name; I wil say a prayer for her; I hope she had a good day.
        T-what's with the spelling? Is "holle" "hello"? Or is the new Spanlish "Hola, Hello, Holle??? I've read your text but am not sure I have correctly deciphered your homeboy spelling. Ask around and see if any witches have an unused cauldron. We can all march around chanting "bubble, bubble, toil and trouble; fire burns and cauldron BUBBLES"!

        Swannie, Loved your poem. Quite an accomplishment with getting those monkeys off your back in such a short time and best part is you are still going strong. Right on!
        Bird. are you sure about that HAARP project?. Isn't that the one for the OLD birds?
        Have to put the kitchen back together. A little to overzealous in keeping busy today. Oh well. There's always tomorrow.

              Sorry i bailed early last night...was finding things a little tough so retreated under the duvet...
              Just a quick hello this morning...i got to go and look for my cat ...she has been missing for a couple of days..
              So it seems there was quite a party in the MWO house earlier...from balloon rides to kite flying ,to Ruby swinging from the lampshades....there were wild trukeys running around tripping folk up and sunni insisted on throwing wet noodles around the room....hmmmmm the mind boggles :H: :H:
              I only hope the boys remained fully clothed...the washing and ironing pile is starting to fall over!!!

              Seems like a live in assistant is needed here....
              I will tidy up when i get back later :groupluv:

                  Good Morning everyone - I had a lie-in this morning! well, after furry alarm clock woke me at 5.00 and said no thanks I don't want to go out so we all went back to bed!

                  Newme - I am so sorry about the would have been 39 years - I can only imagine. Hubs and I are just coming up to 29 and I can't imagine what life would be like without him - well sometimes I can but you know what I mean! Oh - and Rog's spelling - don't question it - just try and decipher it!!

                  Swannie - I took your poem to work with me and everyone loved it! Oh and NEWSFLASH EVERYONE My ironing pile is GONE !!!!! No ironing right now - Yeah !!!!!! Swannie - hope you find your cat.....

                  Nora - glad that the AA meeting wasn't as bad as you thought it would be.

                  Morning Fennel!! How are you? Bird - there were loads of posts weren't there? I was gobsmacked when I got home from work and saw them all!

                  Cl - where are you this morning? You said you are AF - that is great - how long have you been AF for? How did you manage it? Folk here want to know 'cos it isn't an easy thing to do!!

                  Vicki - how are you feeling today? And hubs - is he any better? Ruby - more clearing out today?? Jan - are you working or do you get a day off? if you get a day off, you need to take it easy!! Grateful - you are missed - come back and say Hi! How is your tooth doing?

                  Rog - don't be sad about Tony - I am still here for you :h How is Sue doing??

                  RC - are you with us this morning? How are things going? I did finish my ironing - if not my room!! One thing at a time. LOL

                  Well folk, I have some errands to run so am getting going - it is so cold out today. Bbbrrrrr.

                      Whoever that man was, he snored like Hubs and, like Hubs, was gone this morning when I woke.
                      We have beautiful blue skies, though it's cold and windy. Hard to believe the news is forecasting a big winter storm tomorrow. My biggest worry is being stranded in this great big house with no power (we lose it if a drop of sleet falls!) with in-laws. Think I'll do what the Native Americans did when they get older if that happens, and go sit in the woods till I freeze. ANYTHING but be stuck with them, and Hubs at work. I called him and asked if he'd given any thought to what I will do without heat, etc., and he said he had THOUGHT about it, but no time to do anything yet. Oh well, I'll go out and look at the generator today, find some firewood, cook up some soup (I hosted 20-30 people during the Blizzard of '93, when we were stuck for 5 days with no power) then bring in all my dogs and retreat under the covers.
                      Birdy, you may even get snow tomorrow night. Just stay warm. And T, I bet this cold is going to come there!
                      Everyone, SO good to see you all up and functioning. Won't be here all day monopolizing the space since I have to get ready for the stuff, but you did a stellar job yesterday keeping things going. :huggy

                          becareful ruby and hey you know lowes has this propane generator that hooks one to the house and as soo as the power goes off it just cut on ... go grab hubbys truck and load it up girl .. then call your son to hook it up for ya

                            Newme, so sorry for all the loss you have endured. I just got a call this morning from my friend, Trucker (Bill). His Mother died Jan 3 and the funeral was yesterday. He took care of her to the very end as she had cancer. If you know him, please send him a note. He can read all our messages, but can't send any out, as his keyboard is broken. Let's please all pray for him. Paul is still down in his recliner again today. I know he is miserable, but he is 8 days sober today! God works in funny ways. I guess the only way to make him completely devoted to quit drinking was to make it impossible for him to drive for a week to get some more. I hope we can enjoy our life together sober. Thank all of you for your prayers. I hope you have a wonderful day. Love, Vicki

                              Hey Jammers! Hope you're all having a good day. Sorry I missed the party last night. Might have that internet fixed today. Keeping all appendages crossed--braiding hair too! That oughtta do it. I sent Trucker an email Vicki. Thanks for starting the thread. I hope someone can get him fixed up. He especially needs support now. xo I'll be thinking about which harem to join too. Do you guys have any bathing suit pics?:H
