Good morning everyone!!! Great to see you here. Whoa - scary about those snows coming in. I just can't even imagine.
Got to get moving. I have my therapist appointment this morning (where I can tell her that I did go to the AA meeting. :H). Then we're going to go see Tron. So, that's my big day. Then, maybe I'll come home & start going thru some of the piles & piles of junk that I have collected in the last 30 years. Or maybe not.......:H

Nora, it's very liberating to get rid of things. Last night, I was happily throwing away things that in the past I've packed away for 'someday'. You will get past this all, love. Life happens to us everyday, in unexpected ways. We're here to help you make each day the best, but take time to just rest your body and soul.
Just made an awful run to the nearest store to fill up 2 big gasoline containers (Hubs says he'll get the generator running this PM.) I couldn't get the lids off, then couldn't get them fastened, then found something was missing on one so gas spilled out all over the back of my car! I bought the obligatory bread, etc., for a possible winter storm, but am totally ticked at Hubs!
Son called asking for a bed, since ex took everything not nailed down (oh, I wanna!.........) so he's headed over to get that. Then I'll get back to getting ready for what may or may not come, and that messes up my entire schedule. Oh well, I have plenty of oil lamps, candles, and woodburning stoves to take care of me, and I WON'T be on the roads. Told son if things get bad enough, I'll send him over to take care of in-laws!
No complaints, just what's happening. Truly, hope ya'll are all safe and sound today. Have a good Saturday, and take care of yourselves. Does anyone have a spare room for my in-laws?? I'll pay!!:H

Checking in to see how everyone is doing today? Today has been one of the up-beat days. Wish they were all like this. I heard someone loss there mother. Boy if life isn't a cycle of ups and downs. Hope all is well with everyone today

Thor, so good you keep us in your mind to check in. We love having everyone here, and you will find a great family willing to help you on those down days.
Most times, I'm in such a hurry, I just post about what's going on in my life. But I'm here for you all, and willing to listen or talk (I'm GOOD at that!:H) anytime you need it. The weather here is seemingly going to be like yours in the next few days, and we're not built for that! My sleds and snowshoes are up at the cabin.

Hi ruby...Yeah I'm looking forward to March and April already !!! Dress in layers...That was forced into my head from a kid and onward. And if it really is going to get bad. Make sure you have a survival kit in the car. You would not believe last week when we had two blizzards in a row and people got stranded in there cars. The law enforcement would find people wearing shorts with no jacket, gloves, etc with them.....Hope everyone is doing great...just going to watch some football here in a hour and trying to decide what to make for dinner...any ideas??

Hey RC! How is your day going. Funny you said cookbooks because I actually checked out a church recipe book they had there..lol.....mostly I just reading the paper and magazines today. I love the library and thrift shops. We have a two really great ones here that I go to when I'm done at the library on non-work days. It's just been a fun day today. Loving life and being sober! Can you tell I am in a good mood!

Oh I was going to add too that I FINALLY got my paperwork back today that approved me for health insurance so I can see a specialist for anxiety that I get bad at times when I am in sober and also got approved to go to outpatient rehab as well. Things are looking up.

Hey Thor!!! Good to see you again! Where do you live? Somewhere cold I am guessing. I am baking pork chops in a clay pot. They are so yummy. Brown rice and water, put pork chops on top, then top that with sliced onions, tomato, and green pepper. Then bake at 325 for one hour. So good you will slap yourself!!
Rubes..she took the bed??? I thought he was staying in your RV?? I LURVE that picture...makes me want to get an inner tube.
Hey RC, hope you get your internet sorted. Are you braiding your hair?? I need to color mine....roots are getting darker....
Finally sitting down after MASSIVE house cleaning. Bret, the boys and I vacummed, dusted, waxed , scrubbed, you name it. Even pullrd the stove out....GROSS. I am still doing laundry...ironing will have to wait. I changed the beds, too. I feel much better and more organized. I am going to read Vanity Fair and look at a book about knitting. Maybe I will teach my self to make an afghan.
Vicki...I cannot believe Paul has made it 8 days!!! That is fabulous. But I am so sorry he is in miserable pain. I dont know Trucker, but I posted on your sweet thread. Even though I am not close to my mom, I cannot imagine her being gone. Now if Bret's mom passed, I would be devestated.
BOYS COVER YOUR EARS
Speaking of Nana, she had surgery on Thursday to "lift" her lady parts. She is almost 80 and was wetting herself and very uncomfortable. There is some new type of procedure where they put some kind of sling in there and lift everything back up. Poor thing, she was in a lot of pain when I called her this morning.
Finally, a funny story, then I will shut up. Clay and I were at the grocery about an hour ago. I was in the vitamin aisle looking for Oil of Oreagno( to no avail) and spotted "Horney Goat Weed"!!!! I kid you not. Since I have the sense of humor of a 6 year old little boy, I showed it Clay and we got so tickeled. I almost bought some for Hubs, but did not want to insult him.
New Me..I have been thinking of you today....hope you are ok.

Glad you're feeling better. Nice to have all those choices. We have one library with quite limiting hours. Actually most businesses keep the same hours as I do, so much to do in this town. I'm feeling pretty darn fine today too Chris. Just stamping some POS material at my desk as biz is well you know....you can always google recipes of the day or something.
