Bob - I am so sorry - yes, I agree, you have really really tried to get your life together, and I cannot imagine how you are feeling - I felt weary just reading your post and have no suggestions at all. I don't know why things are as they are - as you know though, I do believe they are as they are for whatever reason. Doesn't help, doesn't make you feel any better. I am glad that you did say 'no stupid stuff' though - must admit, I would have been worried otherwise. Come here and vent whenever you need to my friend. Have you seen your girls lately? Dear Bob - hang in - it can only get better. Hugs to you.

And everyone else - good morning - I love my furry alarm clock - I really do - I just have to keep saying it. Got to bed at 2.00 this morning and Ben let me sleep til 7.00 then that was it. I need more sleep than that and am off today so could have slept in. Furry friend had other ideas. I love my furry alarm clock - I really do.

Bird, I hate shopping, but the young uns love it, so it's harmless, and makes them happy. Do they have anything they need a fancy dress for? We could probably work something up when they do.
Sun, everytime we go in B&N, the same man is sitting in the same chair, mag on his lap, sound asleep! Can't get Hubs to find the time to put me up a new clothesline, and that's way down my list right now, with all the other things he hasn't done with his schedule. SO sorry about the snow forecast. I had to put on a sweater last evening. Oh well, you know, old bones! :H

Morning folks--slept til 8:00 doing laundry, making brunch and waiting for text from daughter. She's in town with her horse so going to watch her ride before she heads back. She's boarding her horse here for a month to give it some indoor riding. I caved last night. Silly but I had to empty my ash bucket--couldn't fill it any further. I've avoided going to the spot outside as I've been a scardy cat due to past unknown lurkers in the bush. Anyways, couple glasses of wine and it was no problem. I know silly. Pro I hear you about karma. My mantra for 10 years has been "full circle". I'm gaining in some areas and losing in others. Bird I see pics of my girls in change rooms trying on gowns and stuff. Looks they are having a ball just doing it for fun. Must take tree down today!! Off I go.... thanks for the funny pics Ruby and Sun take a nap-you deserve it! Will be around ..... xo

RC, sorry you caved, but look how far you've come, in a short time. Things around you may be falling apart, but you CAN face it now, and these episodes are fewer, farther between, and don't go full-blown. Think about what exactly you felt before you poured the wine, and remember it, learn from it. I'm VERY proud you stopped after a couple of glasses. Aim for what you CAN manage. To me, that's the answer. My tree went the next week, but one year stayed up year round! :H That was the year I was in a wheel chair.
Tony, hope the wife is getting better. I KNOW how frustrating it is. Hubs ended up threatening me, hiding the car keys. (I once got my wheel chair out the door and took a trip!) Probably why I ended up in it so long!
Hope everyone is doing well. I'm being lazy, but yesterday I went out and cleaned my Pet Cemetary, put up new flowers, sat in the leaves and talked to my friends there. Hubs normally would have been calling me in, but he knew what I was doing, and how important they were to me, so he left me alone for a while. Gotta do SOMETHING, this laptop is making it easier to stay in touch without having to sit at the desk.

ProBaby, I'm so sorry about the girls. Maybe you'll have to open yourself up to a complete change in your life. I know how hard you've tried, but the past is just that. Concentrate on your future. I can't believe all the building that's started up again here (commercial). And I read today that big investors are buying up huge chunks of real estate in the states hit the hardest. Don't think they'd do that without believing it would really pay. I know you want to stay close to your girls, but, you know, there are so many ways to stay connected. And they're about to be at the age when they love their parents, but want to be almost exclusively with their friends. I talk to SIL and Tay's boyfriend more than the girls! Getting you established is the priority now. You can make your amends, and whether they're accepted or not is the other person's problem. Feel good about doing that, it's always the right thing. And don't expect the changes in you to change other people right now. You do it for YOU. T, as always, is a good example. My family will never forget who I was when I was drinking, but slowly we're becoming a family again, in a new way. You know I care about you. Don't give up. You're not done yet. My cousin was a surveyor, out of work 2 years, and he had to take a big cut, and answers to a 29-year-old, but his proud to be working again. It will happen for you.

Hello, family! After several days of despair and depression, it has finally gone and I must say thank you so very much to Trucker, Kelly and Roger for calling me and thank you, Ruby, for the sweet pm. I can't tell you how much it meant to me for you guys to make me feel so loved. We went to church this morning and had an awesome spirit filled service! That may have something to do with spending time in the Word and listening to Joyce Meyers this week. I want to say to anyone who doesn't like me...uh, I can't say it, Roger! But I will say this, I'm not perfect, I never will be and that's okay, as long as I am learning from my mistakes and growing. It is so wonderful to have friends, but all I truly need is God's love and hey, GOD LOVES ME with all my imperfections! In fact, it takes a broken person like me for God's mercy, grace and love to really shine through! Ruby, thank you for making us laugh while Tony is busy. You are such a loving, caring person. All of you mean so very much to me and I am blessed to have you as my friends! Jan, I am praying for you and your family. My Dad has survived cancer 3 times, including the radiation and chemo, and I give all the glory to God for healing him! Bob, we are so happy you have joined us. Let us help you through this, one day at a time. Biz, same goes for you...YOU CAN DO THIS! I love you all and pray God will pour out His blessings of good health, prosperity, peace, joy and love! Ruby - they were wonderful words to Mr P. Bob - I can't say anything better than Ruby said. She always seems to able to say the right thing.

Thor - I have just had tomatoes on toast then hoovered through and am about to do something else - not sure what yet! I went to the store for some bread and it was like Christmas - I asked someone what was going on - they said it was because of the HUGE ice storm that we have coming, followed by tons of snow that seems to be the storm that is going to set records. Nice. i will believe it when I see it. look out Grateful - you usually get it after me.

Back to doing something. LOL
