Pan, love! I've missed you!! You know you're welcome. We can't reach you unless you reach out to us, OK? And your always one of us, we just have to know you're here. What can I do to help? You know where the keys are here, right. Listen to your body, love. Mine was begging me, to quit or jump off a cliff! :H Would we treat a new car, or a new house, the way we do our bodies? I know I didn't! Stay here this time, no matter what happens, OK. This is your place too. It doesn't belong to the ones who post here all the time. That's what this site is about.
Awwh, JOY! Hubs called to say he'd take care of the errands I was going to run today so I wouldn't have to go out. Little pleasures mean a lot, to me. So I can focus on my trip tomorrow. Long call from MIL, definitely a downer! Then I talked to Hubs, son, so all better! Son still battling the evil EX. MIL crying he may go back to her, I've gotten tired of reassuring her he's SO over it. His focus, rightly, is the girls. Then Hubs called, caught the backlash!! WHOOOOOO! What a morning. Sorry for the vent, loves. It all works out.

Hi all,
Have not joined this post but decided after this weekend to get on board. The passing of one of my closest friends this past Thursday was a major kick in the butt and reinforced my desire to be healthy. Yes he was a drinker and a smoker and only 54 when he passed shoveling snow, suffering a major heart attack and was that ever a shock. We are all getting older and the realization that we are not able to do the things we used to unless we take care of ourselves is a major kick in my behind to say the least.
I had planned to quit my nicotine habit on day 30 of my sober goal but have decided to move it up to today, why wait??
Must live today as we don't know about tomorrow.
Love the support that is available here and plan on using it.
FTAF with a few speed bumps during 2014 & 2015 but will succeed.
As of 4/12/2014 I have not smoked at all and feel great.Comment

Hi, kids. I've been missing you all. Ruby- I'll be praying for your daughter too.....isn't it nice that she can call on you to help her out? So worth being AF, isn't it? Swannie....you keep on swimming, sweetie, and please do stick around here. Panno...welcome back. I'm really glad that you came back here.....Sunny-I really wish you could keep that storm or dissolve it.....I am really dreading driving in ice/freezing rain. I don't even have my own car as I lent it to my daughter..her husband hit black ice, lost control and hit a tree on Friday night..He is okay and I had the baby...so that was a blessing. The car is probably totalled. I have my choice of my sons' cars to drive...but both are rear wheel drive....useless in snow & ice. Nora....how are you feeling today? I've been thinking about you alot. Jan, you've been on my mind and in my prayers.....I am very sorry about your father. My daughter's sis-in-law also has stomach cancer and she is only 29....it is so sad. They removed her stomach and she is now having chemo. Hopefully your Dad's doctors will move quickly. So-you are a hot red-head now? Can you post a pic? Vicki...I hope you are having a good day and are taking care of you!

Her reply: It is LOL what I do eventing is a more dangerous sporting event and they say it is the most dangerous sport in the world. My reply: Oh geez, thanks for telling me that.
But I did go on to say how proud I was of her and how inspiring she is with her skills, good sportsmanship and balls!

Well fell asleep on the couch for an hour that was good did not sleep well last night....will be thinking of you Rubes and your daughter. Sounds like those phone calls from mil are really something....Grateful glad your peeps are ok after the accident. Bet that was frightening.......Pann good luck quitting the smokes and booze together...welcome FT and sorry about your friend. Seems that none of the heavy drinkers make it to 60 I have lost a few. It is a helpful reminder.....Sun be careful driving gosh..and fenn and RC are you getting it as well...gotta cook been eating junk all day...Comment

Hi Everyone. For you warm weather folks, please enjoy. Snowing here and the blizard warning begins in the morning. Town has actually released a statement telling residents to be prepared to be stuck in your home for at least 2 days after the storm as they are only plowing main roads. And the mad rush to the grocery store I'm sure is happening. Should be interesting if all the snow arrives. Stay strong people and have fun today.
