    Hi,
    I am new to this site and just met tirgs in a chat room. He encouraged me to join this thread. This is my second AF day. My NYR was to stop drinking like a fish. I can't remember the last time I was AF.
    Should I have chosen "go advanced" instead of "post quick reply"?

      Welcome Jada and Newme! Rog (T) is a wonderful chap - and this is a wonderful place to be!! We are a sort of crazy bunch and it is great to see new faces - we would love for you to tell us about yourselves if you would care to. I am here early most days courtesy of a furry alarm clock that I recently got (A rescue sheltie that thinks I need to be up at 5.00). Go you Newme on your 2nd day AF - what an accomplishment for you. Jada - how are you??

      Good morning to everyone else - Vicki - hope you are feeling better this morning. I feel okay but will try to restrain myself on the mince pies! LOL Hope ruby checks in this morning - Rog or Vicki - are you going to call her?

      Have a great day all - I will be back later have to go into St Louis this morning then am working 2-10.30 today so late tonight (wonder if I will still be up at 5.00 tomorrow??)

        Goodmorning all, I hope you are well. SOBS, the smoking is quite a battle for sure, cudos to you, hang in there. Sunshinedaisies, your baking sounds really tasty for sure. My mother used to make mincemeat tarts, and they were very yummy. I haven't had one in years, no longer than that.

            Welcome everyone and tell us about yourselves...Sun what is mincemeat? It sounds like 4 and 20 blackbirds chopped up and baked in a pie!! Thought you were a veggie haha....Vick listen to that cd I sent it will help with your cigs...MB vicks cd is a dvd she sent thats why it wont work in your cd...I am cold going to huddle in front of heater for now...

                Good morning everyone new and old(er). Thanks for asking about me friends. It means a lot to me. Vicki you could try some dry skin brushing and then epsom baths to aid in that detox and of course lots of Vit C and water. Sunni I just realized I did not include the attachment. will do. Rog hope that Sue is feeling better and they find what has caused the seizure. Grateful -- lovely avatar--what do you want to accomplish with the ACV. Sunni knows alot about it too. Um Sunni--stop baking hun--that sugar ya know. Saying no more. Miss Ruby I am going to call you girl! Has anyone reached her yet?? New Years I was a mess and have been really trying to get my head around being af for at least 3 months. My birthday is coming up and may have a last dance with this destructive relationship. Not planning to get drunk but then not taking anymore chances with the evil twin that comes out sometimes and she is soooo unpredictable. I want to be in control at all times. I still have a lot of anger and fear(pain) to deal with and have to dig deep to get to it. I will try to touch base again every morning friends. I wish you all success for our best year yet. It won't be easy but it will be worth it! Love RC xo

                  Hi everyone - I am back - drove into St Louis for an appt, had said appt and am back - all by 9.00!! Appt was at 7.20 !!

                  Lovely to see you here you here KG, Hill - the mincepies are really yummy but I have no self control with them!! LOL Bird - laughed at your version of them! The modern version has fruits, spices and suet - veggie type! Made with delicious flakey pastry and served best warm, with cream - and and I am drooling all over the keyboard! They are considered a Christmas dish in UK but I will eat them any time. some folk put brandy in the filling which also gives it a nice taste too. Us Brits put brandy in most everything at Christmas!!

                  Jan - LOL at you trying to play a DVD as a CD - sorry - sort of thing I would do too so am laughing WITH you, not at you !! Hope you are feeling better today!

                  Ruby - hope you get your internet sorted!! You are missed. After all, as the oldest here, we need you. LOL

Yeah, I agree re the baking - it is just that I am feeling better after weeks and weeks of NOT so made a veggie shepherds pie and some mincepies that I had the mincemeat for ages before Christmas! My birthday is coming up too - I think you told me when yours was - PM me okay? (don't want to let God and EVERYONE know). I e-mailed you too.                       Welcome, Jada, Newme and Kundal! We can't wait to get to know you. This is a great place to be to find encouragement, laughter and lots of love! Jada, congrats on 2 AF days! That's great! Let's do the whole new year AF together! You use "go advance" only when you want to edit your text color and size or add little pics by clicking on "more" at the bottom of the sample pics it shows you. Well, today is Jan 3, my 3rd day without a cigerrette or drink! If I had a choice, I'd take a cig, but my mind will not let my body have what it wants! Dang it! I am proud of myself though. This is alot harder than I thought. Roger, you need to join me so we can bitch together! :H Thanks for checking on Ruby. Hope she gets her internet back up. Is she feeling all better? Sunni, how long have you been quit the cigs? MB, Sunni is right. It is a dvd with 7 sermons on it. Click on the first one and play, then the second and so on. I'm not laughing at you, because I could not function without Paul when it comes to electronics. I'm "dumb as dirt" as he often says. :H But, hey, just how many remotes do we need to turn the dang TV on? We have 5 and I'm always confused, even have notes! RC, thanks for sharing your struggles. Will you pm me your address so I can mail you some of Joyce Meyer's DVDs? She helps women deal with the anger and pain in their lives. She has helped me so much! And, hey, that goes for anyone who wants some.

                          Here in Cincinnati where making it to the playoffs once is a two decade long process, making it three years in a row - simply impossible. Hope you guys take it all, you've got the team for it. I will live vicariously.
