Oh, I get the money. Sometimes have to surgically remove it from their paychecks, but if my bank even THINKS I'm late, I get calls and letters! And we're on time, Hubs pays bills the minute they come in. We had years of robbing Peter to pay Paul, though.

Good morning, all. Bird...I am sorry your little girl is so sick...that is a high fever..sounds like RC has some good advice..and I love your oven! You have amazing talent! RC-that's a great answer...good for you for getting it. Sorry about your camera...does somebody have a broken heart that I didn't hear about? We may not be able to heal broken hearts, but we can help comfort them just by being there and listening. Jan-I'm in with you about the care package for Swannie...I'd rather put her in a package and mail her over to us....but, guess that's not possible at the moment. I hope you don't work too long today...if you run yourself down, then you will get even more behind!! Oh, Ruby-I have no doubts that you get your money - one way or another-and who can blame you? I would NOT make a good landlord....I am a sucker for sob stories.


Well, I have been carrying my portable phone around in between cleaning the kitchen and scrubbing the toilet waiting for my M-I-L to call so that I can take her to the hospital to see her new Great-Granddaughter, my great-niece who should be on her way out now. My niece left for the hospital at 11 last night...she just started pushing about 30 minutes ago. My m-i-l has basically raised her and her brother and she is so worried about her - but also, she has COPD and gets coughing spells, etc. and doesn't want to go to the hosp. too early because she gets embarrassed by her coughing....she is so sweet...she is up there crying because Nikki called and said "GMom-when are you coming over?"..... Oh-the baby's name is Zoey and I can't wait to meet her....one year and 1 week since my granddaughter was born! Babies give us hope, don't they guys?

Morning everyone. Sounds like everyone is up at em while I've been lazing in bed. This morning I go to see my Therapist. Yesterday was just the Psychiatrist about meds. Boy, I really sound screwed up don't I? This from a person that one year ago would NEVER have gone to talk to somebody about my problems.
I am in with the care package for Swannie.

OK, it's OFFICIAL. Strangeness follows me like a little black cloud. There were tons of people in line at the bank drive through. Patience is not one of my virtues, and I sat there 20 minutes, wondering how you can get all the way there without having what you need and ready for business. Again, I could no longer work with the public.
Then, mistakenly, I make my quarterly trip to WalMart. You want to know how many people have disabled parking tokens (or have snitched someone else's) go there on a Saturday. Just had a couple of things to get, hurrying to join the endless check-out line, and a man in front of me starts to have a grand mal seizure. Poor thing was HOWLING, writheing on the floor, and shoppers were coming from everywhere to stand and watch. I did what I could to help the med people who happened to be nearby, and someone called 911. So when they got there, I got out of the area. It was painful to see the look on his face, but he was in good hands, and the looky loos where creeping me out.
Then the traffic home, back to my end of the road. Next time I say I'm going to town on a Sat, ya'll just shoot me, OK???

Sun, you're our contact to Swannie girl. You know I'm in for ANYTHING I can do for her. I think her pride is a little too fierce for that though.
Grate, I have an old Christmas picture of my 5 granddaughters right about my monitor. I can't imagine my life without them, but they compound my worries exponentially. It was so simple when they were little. Nearly 40 years ago, an elderly lady told me when she saw my baby son 'first they'll walk on your feet, then they walk on your heart'. But I also believe everytime your heart is broken it grows back bigger.
Now off to look for a valium drip to recover from my shopping. WHY do some women do this every day???

Biz, honey, I missed you here. Yeah, the money thing, always, with all of us. I mentioned to someone the long lines at the bank and the crowds at Wally World, and they said 'income tax refunds'. Quite a few of my renters depend on them to get current, or even pay ahead, anticipating not having the rent in the future. One cashes in his vacation time ASAP each January, and signs it over to us. (He's usually MONTH'S in arrears, but he's Hubs tenant, so not my problem. Well, he is a problem, but sweet, clueless people.
BTW: I've invited mariec to join us here, and told her great things about you people. (No, Sun, not how OLD you are! :H), so I know you'll all be your wonderful selves to her.

Ruby is the mommy and Roger is the daddy (just a little preverted at times!!) and the ress of us are the various mongrel children. OH, and sunshine daisies is the fairy godmother that sprinkles happy dust on all of us, and Poor Swannie is sick with pneumonia all the way in England where we cant get to her and get her well.
NORA.....there IS something up there....it's called your noodle, silly. And if it's as big as your heart then you are a genious,love!!
