Ruby is right. This is where we come to vent about problems and share about happy things. Whatever is going on - everyone is here to support. It's great. Just jump right in. I know what you mean about having to do something. I think that is what got everyone here to this site.

Hey Ruby - speaking of shopping. I went to Costco today. That was a crowd. At least we got all of our supplies for the next couple of months. Good thing too because that was the budget. :H I do have to go to Wal-Mart tomorrow to get some of the regular groceries. So, wish me luck. Poor man that had the seizure. That is so sad. And, I don't like those lookie loos. A couple of times at work, we've had people get sick where I had to call 911. Each time, I would look up from trying to deal with the person & paramedics and there was a crowd gathered. Made me so angry. I told a couple people if anything ever happens to me, please drag me to the office so that they can't stand there and stare.

I betcha Grate's at the hospital. Yes, Nora, those 'people' are what has shaken me today. I show my brave face, but I can't tell the misery in that man's voice. It will haunt me. I love Ted Turner's motto, 'Lead, Follow, or Get Out Of the Way!' I'm so hoping the guy is OK. Thought of calling the store, hospital, but I know better, so I'll pray for him. Would you believe people had small children, in the grocery carts, within feet of him, watching? Just awful.
Anyway, I'm cheating again. Hubs is getting hamburger helper, Mimzy style, tonight. He doesn't care, he likes it. And HE HAS THE DAY OFF TOMORROW!!!! Hope we both survive. Still trying to work out his retirement.
The rest of you better check in, before I have to call the dogs in. We WILL find you!!! :H And for ya'll north of the Mason/Dixon, you all keep warm. And safe.

Just wrote my WHOLE post, and instead of hitting 'submit" I closed the window!!!!!!! Ggrrrrr.
Now I have to do the whole thing over again. Maybe I will feed the dogs first. Can't believe I just did that - yes I can. Oh heck. Oh well - couldn't have been very important then. What a pain in the rear that is!!.

T, I hope you're using protection, like I told you. How's Sue? I miss her. And you EVER show her my crochet project? I love her knowledge of crochet, want to hear her opinion.
I know it's Saturday, everyone is busy. Can't believe January is almost over. I have all the animals fed (yes, Hubs too) and he ate 3 helpings, so I guess it was good. While at the infamous Wal-Mart, I bought his dad a BD card (it's today) I thought was so cute. It said 'here's a little Las Vegas for you BD' with a show girl, and played Danke Shoene. Hubs looked at me like I was even crazier. My Daddy would think it was hilarious, but his parents had their funnybones removed at birth. And his dad is deaf as a post, so WTF.
Son is out of town with the girls for a rodeo. Grace loves them, well, they all do. Dogs are fed, out for their walk right now, kitchen's clean, Hubs IS off tomorrow, so all is good in my world. (Gosh, hate saying that out loud, for fear of a thunderclap!!)
I've been thinking lately there's something I need to say to ya'll. Thank you. For being here everyday, for being my friends, for harrassing me with love, for having my back when I need you. All of you. But special thanks to T for starting this amazing thread a while back (best one on the site, I think!!). And Tony, for pitching in and keeping things moving when T needed a break. RC, I use those wonderful herbs all the time. Thank you so much. And Birdy, can't wait till this summer when we can check to see if your beautiful birdhouse has contributed to my bird population. You've all given me so much, and I can't name you all now. But this is a wonderful, wonderful family. That's why I continue to invite people to join us. I can't think of but a few people I trust more than you.

The BIG baby was born at 2:06...she is 8lb. 10 oz. and has a full head of black hair-absolutey gorgeous! My mother-in-law was so happy the her granddaughter & great-granddaughter were both okay..it was a long labor but Nikki did very good. She is just a tiny girl...so we didn't expect her to have such a big baby!!


Ruby-I can't imagine witnessing what you saw today....that poor man. I'm so glad that you were able to get help for him.....and you are right-the best thing you can do is to pray for him. As far as Walmart-I discovered yesterday that Friday mornings are not bad at my local Walmart...I have been going on Saturdays or Sundays lately because of having Addison, but went yesterday since she wasn't here.

Sunny-what are you going to do for a week with hubby home????? I do feel for you....I would go nuts! I understand the reasoning behind the "no" for Swannie's care package....but at least she knows the thought is there and that we all love her.

Roger-how are you feeling? Are you still sore from your fall? I'm glad that you have work right now...that is a good sign!!

Nora-you never know-you still might work with babies one day....don't ever give up on your dreams. And I think it is great that you talk with a therapist.....and you are not screwed up....we go to the dr when we are not feeling well, right? :l

Mas-It's great to see you here! Moving forward is always good.

Jan-I hope you are relaxing tonight and don't work tomorrow! You know that our Momma Ruby and Poppa Roger will probably ground you if you try to go into work. By the way, I think I look more like our Mom and you look more like our Dad, although you do have our Mom's backbone, don't you?:H

Ruby - why did you tell Marie to pay no attention to you (the old woman behind the curtain)? had to laugh at you telling T to use protection!!! I think he is a big boy now and doesn't need telling!!

Grateful - great news re Zoe!! I feel for Nikki though - Oh my gosh!! And as for me with hubs home for a week - well, I guess I will get through it - he laughed earlier and asked me how I was going to manage when he retires?? i dread to think!!!

anyway , we have just watched some telly together - I rarely sit and watch it, but had a series of an English programme that I wanted to see and he sat and started watching it too.

anyway - I am off to bed - he is going to go and watch movies in the cellar!
