Ruby, I was complaining to a friend once about Hubs always nagging and fussing at me. "Lock your door, wear your seatbelt, etc,etc." I said he was always nagging me. She said to think of it as "cherishing", not "nagging". I have always remembered that.
Fen - I manage an apartment community of 228 units. I do ok, but Hubs was out of work for awhile. He is working now, but making about half of what he used to. So, we struggle, but I am thankful we are both working now. And I get so darn tired of always talking about money!!!
Tony, the thought of your wife ringing her bell cracks me up. You are such a good husband and father.
This is silly, but the bright spot of my day was buying $300 worth of groceries that didn't cost me one single penny!! Thank heavens for food stamps! But that will end soon,too.

I called Dad today and he seems to be in good spirits. His surgical consult is tomorrow at May, but I think he is going to be treated at Emory in Atlanta. There is a surgeon there that has performed this surgery. I googled gastic lymphoma and its pretty scary.
I told Dad that as much as he was going to be paying for treatment could he demand a 2 for 1 Tummy tuck. I said we could be operated on at the same time. That made him laugh, so I felt good.
Ok...may take a nap, or watch my BBC miniseries on Netflix.

RC, Hubs had me read up on it (HE had! :H) Quite a large percentage of house fires start in lint traps. I know I cleaned my daughter's once, could have crocheted a rug! And her husband is a fireman. I chewed them both out over it, but they looked at me like 'Oh, let her say her piece, you know how they get!'sigpic

MB, so glad to see you're becoming yourself again, and you're sharing your problems with us still. I don't mind. Sometimes, when people are so focused on a little point they want to make, and some real life hits them, everything else disappears. We all know we have to DEAL with that stuff, but should it rule our lives? (Still trying to get that point through to some people in my life!) Your parents have been hit with reality. Stuff they haven't dealt with. We start to feel somewhat secure financially, then we remember about reality. We can't explain, teach, that to anyone. They have to do it on their on. You know I'm praying for you. Your father is very lost right now, since he's always been in control. So don't change. Be you, and be there. I reading between the lines a bit, and feeling you've lifted him in more ways than you know.sigpic

Hey everyone - I am in from work - we were SO busy tonight, it was just crazy - can i please ask a favour of you all - if ever you go into a Barnes & Noble, and get a HUGE stack of books and/or Mags and take them into the cafe just to LOOK at them while you are having a coffee - PUT THEM BACK WHERE YOU FOUND THEM - or just take one or two - you can only read one at a time. Ahem. Thank you. It would really be much appreciated. We are not a library. We ended up with a stack about 2 feet high of magazines that people had taken into the cafe - and that was later in the evening - we were gathering them all through the shift! I just have to shake my head at people. Sorry everyone - vent over.
RC - I always leave the washer going - in our house, the washer is in the cellar and it is a front loader so the worse that would happen (I think) is that if it leaked, it would go into the sump pump. I think. I also leave the dish washer going which would be worse. Never use the dryer so that is a moot point.
Biz - nice to see you here - was your AF day today? How did you do? how are you doing? We haven't seen you in a while.
Jan - glad that you and your dad are sharing some laughs - good for you cheering him up! you do sound a little back to 'you' again! Hang in there my friend and lean on me whenever you need to - end of the phone - remember.
I suppose I should think about getting to bed. Talk to you all tomorrow. Oh someone told me today that we have an ice storm coming this week with LOTS of snow following. Yuck and double yuck.

As some of you have known me a long time I know you are as sick of my shit as I am. So I don?t bother anymore.
Just reading has help me hang on to a little of my sanity. But that is slipping away from me fast.

Hi Pro and thats good to rant away get it all out. I know sometimes I am just so tired. Sounds like you could use a vacation or a day at the library if you are broke. Any little something to get a break....looks like another nice day peeps. Ended up taking the kids and their friend to the mall yesterday, they only had 5 bucks and they went in stores forever while I wait out the door and then they go in penneys and try on fancy dresses and take pics and I just dont understand that why bother and no money guess I didnt get the shopping gene......gotta go jam with that guy with the 3 gigs this aft and he sent me songlist last night and Im like hell i dont wanna play this and wonder why I said I would and moaned and groaned about it all eve wanting to cancel but guess Ill go see not like anything else is happening, know Ill hate it though........Comment
