    Army thread 2nd Jan 2011

expat3;1033205 wrote: Good morning, Sounds like everyone is in good form today! Tomorrow its back to work for me-kind of glad in a way. I am going to need a routine if I'm jumping onto the healthy thread. Where and when does it start? I'm getting my plan together, making positive lists and have been reading up on the tool box plus other "quit smoking" sites on other sites on the web. Hope everybody has a great Sunday!
    Morning, Expat

Has Oney given you any links to stop-smoking info? There's this great site she swears by... Well, not literally swearing (although she does a lot of that, too), but you know...

Hi Tips (Mr.Perfect:H), I do have the site she talked about. Sounds good. I plan to use all the tools and advice that I can get. But like with the drink-I know the desire has to come from deep within myself to REALLY want to do this. And accept that it will not be easy have to prepare myself that the first days or weeks WILL BE UNCOMFORTABLE and keep my BGP's on! Because I really want to (have to!) do this!

And I know we all have different goals-dieting, exercise, etc...but hopefully we can band together as a supportive community and help each other with which ever endeavour(s) we have chosen.

Dog! You have more guts than I do. I'm afraid my 30-a-day habit is going nowhere slowly...

Hi Starts! Yes! Please pm the stuff! I already have nicotine patches and normal suger-free mints and gum. Plus, I've stocked up on loads of high content magnesium mineral water and fresh lemons to drink all day. Mint tea too. Dieting is not my top priority at the moment but I don't want to gain ten pounds either by eating crisps all day! I will also avoid coffee as much as possible because for me-cigs and coffee just go together:H.

That's my brand Tips:H! Please don't show that picture again! Just kidding! I am a very heavy smoker. Pack or a bit more a day.

Use the gum AND patches to start. You are a heavy smoker you might need both

                          Morning All,

I'm also on the stop smoking trail! I plan to cut down day by day until the end of the week - hopefully if I get myself out jogging and my lungs complain enough it'll disgust me into sticking with it!

Hope you're all enjoying a lazy Sunday - I've got a lot of housecleaning to do. Joy of joys!

If you can't have one drink, don't have any - My Nan

Morning Zeppers, Mrs A,Betty B,Tips, Starts,Chillers, Expat, EW,LJ and all those yet to drop by.

I'm getting far to comfy in me fake fur leopard print dressing gown and moo moo slippers.

Right here goes. My first resolution I will get dressed in real clothes before coming downstairs in the morning. Yep they'll prolly be back to front and I'll have odd socks on but I'll be dressed.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Oh FFS give it up. We prefer you the way you are.

BTW, Folksies - I'm irrationally exuberant. Long may the feeling last.
