Sleep fairy worked a full shift here last night - 'bout time. Weather is.. well.. post autum.
Pops... sounds like one of those trips I'd thankfully decline. Be safe! Spuds... I think the scales have conspired against us - mine are in it, too.

I saw this once on TV - I think it is when you immerse your feet in a tub of water filled with these tiny fishes and they eat away at the dead skin on your feet. It supposidly works wonders. It would skeeve me out completely though!

I've finished mopping ooooooh me hands are that dry.

I also popped a wee coffee and pecan cake in the oven. I only made it to get the oven on to get some heat in the kitchen..................now if you'll believe that you'll believe anything

Shall I try sticking me foot in the gold fish tank and asking Doreen to have a bit of a nibble (Doreen is the goldfish's name)

I think it's a very good reason. I've been using the oven as often as possible. Yum-coffee and pecan cake and a cosy kitchen! Life does not get much better than that!

Zenners, me toes are positively froze, too. Did the horsey chores, then shoveled snow... I really don't know why we bother with winter boots. It seems the second you get yer toes in there, they get cold.

Afternoon fellow fighters,

How was your day? Mine was so-so. I didn't get as much work done as I thought I would but nonetheless got a few things ironed out. People starting having wine/beer in the office at 2.50 which I politely declined (I was driving anyway). But I am much more conscious of how much people talk about drink. One of my colleagues in the canteen was talking about how she has cut down to one bottle of wine a week cuz she is trying to lose weight. She would normally have four a week plus the odd glass here or there. I thought - I never drank that much and yet here I am. Another colleague has a wine with dinner five out of seven nights a week (she gives herself two consecutive days off as that is meant to help your liver). I found myself envying her - wishing I could be so controlled. Its amazing what you notice and what you focus on in conversations once you decide to quit. Do we truly live in a drink obsessed culture or am I just much more sensitive to it now.

Anyway - just my rambling thoughts. I am off to get a manicure!!! woohoo!
