    ARMY THREAD-Friday! 7th January

    Just a quick hello. I'm trying to do research on internet about photobucket. Like how to use it! When I sent a photo to facebook---it showed up but now every time I upload a new photo onto photobucket it shows up on facebook. Am I making any sense:H? What I want to say (I think) is-isn't it possible to post just one photo and not have the whole album show up???And that it is from photobucket advert or whatever. Anyway, I only have four pictures on there! And nothing embarassing, haha! But I need to learn how to control what I post, grrr! I'm going to "practice" a bit more tonight and then I'm giving up before I tear my hair out. I'll be back if I haven't cracked up.

      I am sure that's not the case. Gg is right...it is just a conversation he is comfortable having with u. And, as a plus he isn't avoiding talking to you about it since you quit. At least he isn't walking on eggshells. In time, I am sure you will talk more about all the different great types of coffee!!!

        I've just sort of mentioned in passing to my brother that I've quit drinking. Didn't want to make a big hoo haa out of the fact I'm actually an alcoholic as both our parents were. So I think I may have been a bit over protective of him. After all he's only 49

            I am bored bored bored! This is usually my big night out but I am not socialising in the pub until I get comfortable in my sobriety. Watched hustle which was pretty good. whatcha up to?

              He knows I've given up but I waffled on about health reasons he didn't realize what a fecking struggle it was though.

              I've just watched Hustle for the 1st time all the way through, quite liked it.

              Mr JC's out with the 'boys' for his Friday night ritual 6 pints and then that's him done for another week.

                Yeah, it sure is a struggle! I find myself getting quite down mainly cuz I miss the social side of it. What I wouldn't give to be sitting in the pub and being able to control it. Alas, it's not for me. I suppose you have days like that.

                Hustle is brilliant. You can get the back episodes on inplayer if you fancy it.

                My hubby has given up drinking as well to support me. He isn't a big drinker and doesn't really understand but I really appreciate the gesture. He loves his whisky but more about tasting and learning about all the different types. So he is making a sacrifice. Some lucky bugger is going to get a good whisky collection.

                Snow is pretty bad here. How is it down your way?

                        Cassia~ Mr JC did the first 30 days with me and he just goes out on a Friday night for few pints now.

                        Oh he did get well hammered at the World Cup BBQ we had here but there was plenty of non drinkers here to keep me company.....Boy did I play the music LOUD the following day.

                        We've had a bit of snow but it is soooooooooooooooooooooo cold. BTW I'm just over the border in Newcastle upon Tyne.

                          Hey jc - that's really good that he is supporting you. I think its good if someone else is doing it with u! Yeah, its pretty cold here and snowy but it is apparently much worse through in the east. So glad I live in Glasgow and not Edinburgh.

                          I have never been to Newcastle...been thru it loads. I must take a trip down before I emigrate.

                            You'll have to give me a shout next time you're passing I'm only about a 15 min bus ride from the city centre.

                            Gawd the last time I was in Glasgow was when I was 7 months pregnant so obviously I wasn't hitting the night spots. Hellus Bellus me daughter's 25 this year. That's a quarter of a century
